Yep. Shame on the people who voted yes....go ahead and support MikhailJordan and the Nets. Your not welcomed back with them. Its like the Lin fans are almost Tebow esque and will just jumpshift to where the kid is playing rather than grow a backbone and stick with the team.

This isnt' even official yet people are crying. Save it for Tuesday evening when the decision comes out. THEN we can all be upset that Lin got let go.

Its sad honestly that the people who'd bolt on the Knicks were the same people begging for a competitive team and a team that can make the playoffs and maybe make some noise in the process too. You can't get every thing, geez. I liked Lin too but have faith in Grunweld that he knows what he is doing. He's had a pretty damn good offseason to this point.

the Knicks had BETTER win without Lin. They had BETTER advance past the first round of the playoffs. Raymond Felton had BETTER come to camp in SHAPE and Kidd better not be useless or act like a clown that he is.

JR Smith, a guy with terrible character had better produce.

These things all need to happen for me to feel good about losing Lin.

in order of want my PG wish list was 1) Nash 2) Lin 3) Lin 4) Lin 5) Felton

you have to understand, it's not just lin, it's 12 years of nonsense with dolan

the layden and isiah eras were jokes

then, we get donnie walsh and mike d'antoni, two respectable professionals with good track records (something Dolan SEVERELY lacks--on what can this man hang his hat?)

so in 2010-2011 we have a pretty good team. we are a solid sixth seed. we are the second youngest playoff team. we have cap space. we play pretty, unselfish, system-oriented basketball. everyone but amar'e is on a nice, small contract. gallo is young, an efficient scorer, and has good upside. we look to be heading in the right direction for once.

then the melo trade.

then walsh leaves

then the disaster that was last season. we found out that our expensive front court struggles to play together. this team was not going to make the playoffs until jeremy lin showed up and saved us

then amar'e and melo come back and the team struggles, so mike d'antoni goes and isiah's buddy woodson takes over the reins

now this summer we strap ourselves with large contracts, become one of the oldest teams in the league, lose landry, harrellson, and jeffries. bring in felton and a bunch of old guys.

if we lose lin, what are we? we're an old team that will have one of the most expensive rosters in the league with essentially no chance of winning. we are a first or second round exit. we will probably play a lot of iso-basketball and continue to see our players underachieve

it's very disturbing to see this team revert back to what it once was. watching them come full circle is good enough reason to jump ship in my opinion

it's too bad too. melo at his best is phenomenal. tyson and shumpert are easy to root for.

But we are this way anyway.
Me and you agree on a lot of things but losing Lin does not make or break this team. STAT and Melo does, and they still can't play together. The buck stops with them. That's the way our roster was built.

We're a team with experienced, battle-tested vets who still have a whole lot of game left and won't let the other team get any easy baskets. A team that's built to win in this 3 year window. Not a team of all-stars in their prime that's counting on an inexperienced PG who has yet to master one of the most basic and crucial aspects of the position (turnovers) that played a good stretch of games against mostly bottom of the barrel teams who could very well end up being a flash in the pan. Even if he continues to produce at that level, you really think he's gonna be the difference between a 1st and 2nd round team and a finals contender? If you do, then I guess we just have different opinions.

That's fine you have every right to be.
I was hurt about Gallo and Chandler.
I was hurt about STAT signing here.

I'm still a fan of my home team. Always will be.
The others will get over it too.

Why, because having Lin would guarantee us moving past the 1st round?

Hostility huh... That's where some of you want to take it? U remember user names and posts etc...
Good for you! Remember it! I've grown up! Spending hard earned money on an organization who continues to not get a clue isn't "gangster". Gangsters, tuff guys, strong humans, smart humans, wise humans, etc don't let ANYONE take advantage of them decade after decade. As KS mentioned last night not matching Lin is something that the Knicks will not recover from. If they are that dumb, they will finally suffer the consequences and learn from lack of foresight.

As far as any fellow Knick fan telling me fu and sending hostility to me -fu too!

RIDE OR DIE KNICKS OR NOTHING!!!

Seriously players have come and gone, we've weathered plenty of tough time, bad times, bum players, it's just the up's and downs of being a Knick fan, those who don't wish to root for the Knicks were just bandwagoneers anyway.

I've been a fan since 1984...it's now 2012.
If you have no critics you'll likely have no success.

After you swallow that down , tell me when you believe you will see your next NY knick championship banner ?

The correct answer to both of these questions = NEVER
Now whos BANDWAGON ?
At this point your just rooting for DIRTY LAUNDRY .

Belive me little boy, you didn't hurt my feelings. I don't care what a butt hurt Lin fan says to me, especially one that makes as little sense as you do.

Now I'm a bandwagon fan? Keep posting. Your stupidity highly amuses me.

I'm waiting with popcorn in hand.

Mo is right grow up. You can say that about 2/3rds of the other teams in the NBA too. One team wins per season.

What does it matter if he hasn't experienced a Knicks championship?

The point is he's not giving up until he sees the next one because this is NY and he supports his team through thick and thin.

I believe we'll match Lin regardless.

Return to New York Knicks
