If Felton is outplaying Lin then I wouldn't have a problem. Whoever deserves to start and whatever combinations on the court contribute to us winning.

They would want Woodson gone.

The Knicks can't be happy that the Rockets changed the terms of the deal they originally agreed upon with Lin. It was a four-year, $28.8-million contract, but the fourth year was a team option for $9.3 million.

The Knicks had all intentions of matching that for Lin, who averaged 17.7 points and 8.2 assists in 25 starts and was even more valuable to the team off the court from a business and marketing standpoint.

Last Wednesday, coach Mike Woodson said, "Absolutely," when he was asked if he expected the Knicks to match Houston's deal. He was also asked ifn the Knicks blinked at the Rockets' offer, and Woodson replied, "Never once," and said Lin would be the starting point guard heading into training camp.

But after the Rockets upped the ante in the third year of the deal, the Knicks started looking for an alternative at point guard and brought back a familiar face.

I don't think anyone is denying that this is a likely sequence of events. It doesn't mean we have to be happy about it or believe that the team is making a smart move. It's a disastrous move imo.

I see both you guys are caught up in Linsanity... If your boy was soooo impactful how come Iman was named All-Rookie yet Lin wasn't?

Yeah, because it will be the coach's decision based on something other than Dolan being annoyed at Lin, and we'll still have Lin playing a big role.

If that was the thinking, then why did Woodson say Lin is going to start?

Felton looks and smells a lot like an emergency plan.

Lin is gone most likely. You guys should prepare yourselves accordingly.

What a joke!

That is not a valid reason to not bring back a 24-year-old PG with potential. Charles Dolan (James' father) is worth $3.3 BILLION! $50 million extra here and there are minor business moves for him. The reason this is happening is because James Dolan is spiteful little baby.

For people saying this is not that bad, yes it is. Think about what happens when:

A) Knicks underachieve
B) Nets overachieve
C) Lin continues to impress in Houston

We'll set a record for most fans lost in a year.

I harassed Anucha Browne Sanders and lost the lawsuit, Dolan had to pay $11 million in damages and he still wasn't mad at me and didn't feel betrayed. He even asked my successor to thank me for Amare while I had nothing to do with this acquisition and he tried to rehire me before the league vetoed it ! Gotta love Jimmy Dolan. $200 million wasted in crappy players like Curry, Marbury, Jeffries, Francis, Jalen Rose, Malik Rose, Mo Taylor and so on, $11 million in damages and I'm still his friend and someone he trusts !

If we keep Lin, I believe he'll win the starting job. But if we keep him and bring him off the bench, at least it wouldn't be such a colossal waste of talent. He'd be the point guard of the future at the very least.
