WHY did Knicks try to drag out receiving the offer-sheet, do they really need to think about this for the max amount of hours?

To think that Jeremy Lin a free agent is going to go to Morey and strong arm him to give him that contract with the poison pill on the information that the Knicks had just let the the cat out of the bag to him that they were going to match when everyone and their grandmother knew they were going to match any contract weeks ago is just beyond stupid... how can anyone believe that stuff?

"Who is Robert Montgomery? Lin's agent is Roger Montgomery.

Really famous actor in the 30s and 40s (he starred opposite Garbo) and father of "Bewitched" star Elizabeth Montgomery.

That's not true. Lin is at fault here too. He went back to Vegas and signed a contract to get the maximum money knowing what it would do to the knicks.

Nobody even knows if that initial offer sheet was real..

I can't believe I've posted on every single Lin thread from Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. I was there after each one was upgraded as well.

Yeah I think you're right. If it's good news, it'll come earlier. Or at least reports of communication between the two parties.
