to me, as European, is already weird that the players are going out and clubbing during playoff series. soccer players here have strict contracts with curfew hours, they are fined and set aside by the clubs if they are seen in public after a certain hour and they can even lose their contracts. usually teams just give a day off every week after the weekend match, other days they always have practice and train usually twice, early morning and afternoon. many players were banned from playing months or even years after accusing cocaine and other "recreational" drugs

NBA will cease if it had real drug policy. It's apart of "that culture".

I could care less if he was skiii'd up. JR is a F'ing headcase w/o drugs and I want him off the team. The Knix need players that will raise their BBALL IQ. He's an idiot with flashes of athletic brilliance. Thats all he'll ever be. I thought he turned a corner this year but i was wrong. Drop him Dumb Dolan no matter how cheap he comes bc he will never be worth the headache.

WTF, man?

Of course he had a bad playoffs. As much of a blind homer as you night think I am (and it's obvious that that is exactly what you think I am), read back over my posts throughout the playoffs and find me one time when I said he had anything that denied he had a bad playoffs.

'Not putting me on the spot.' Yeah, right.

EDIT: And what does any of this have to do with what I posted in the first place?

You just seemed to sidestep the whole issue of JR having a disastrous playoffs and I'm curious if you thought me pointing that out made me a hater.

Well I found someone worse than JR -- Bayless. That guy really, really sucks.

So as it turns out, the pipe JR may have been utilizing during the playoffs was different from the one many of us had hoped for.

Delayed joke but it's still good.

The jerk store called and it's running out of you!

All I know is that from what I hear the front office is extremely pissed at JR and are not sure if they want him back, which in my opinion is a tell-all sign that something is up. Because thinking objectively minus his playoffs, you are not gonna find a 18 pt per game scorer/ 6th man of the year, for his cheap price tag anywhere else. I dont think if it was just he went cold during the playoffs and got drunk the Knicks would consider dumping theoretically our second scorer. So I believe that their is more truth to the report then most would like to believe.

Are you saying you have a source or just from the interviews?

we cant sign CP3 unless we find someone with capspace to take chandler (effectively) straight up

even then, we wont be able to offer cp3 that extra year because we cant do s+ts

Its like Alan Hahn said, its technically mathematically possible but EXTREMELY improbable.

there is two ways the Knicks can get Chris Paul and both ways are extremely unlikely...

1 trade Stat and Chandler to teams that have cap space and the Knicks trade them for nothing then go out and sign CP3

2. hope Camby and/or Kidd retire so they get under the Apron and thus can make sign and trades and then hope the Clippers take the Knicks offer...

Either way is EXTREMELY unlikely oh there is one more way Chris Paul comes and plays for the MMLE

It's mathematically possible i could win the powerball tonite since my family plays 20 different numbers.

Option number 2 sounds more realistic

To the people theorizing that coke was the reason for JR's poor performance. If JR is indeed a coke head, I think its safe to assume that this habit didn't start after game 3 of the first round of the playoffs. Drug habits just don't miraculously appear after elbowing Jason Terry in the head. If JR's a coke head he's been doing it all season, and thus had a career year on coke.

Or he was a recreational user, and then had a bender.

The 'reports' (such as they are) say he was scoring $1500 worth of blow every three days.

That's way beyond recreational, and well into hard-core addict territory.

If true.

He would always mention his "vamp life" on Twitter, find me a person who would regularly stay up all night partying and NOT do drugs.
