Just saw NOC

Didn't expect Bryan to get the title already and I expect everyone saw the fast count

Very Vince-like

We need a hard core wrestling alliance on TV. I'm a little tired of watching modified soap operas. I have to believe there's a market out there for an ECW type of outfit (or Power Pro Wrestling - midwest back in the day with Terry Gordy, Michael "P.S." Hayes, et al.) where the wrestlers got "busted up."

Ring Of Honor would best suit your tastes. They have their shows air on TV in some markets.

Couldn't find any complete RAW vids from this week but I just saw Bottomline. I've watched Bryan stripped off his title, Orton wrecking Miz in front of his parents and Big Show knocking out Dusty Rhodes but never saw the ending

Daniel Bryan the people's champion? Was it too early or is it the right time for the locker room to strike back?

It was the right time, they were about to break Bryan's neck.

The heavyweight title is not what it used to be back in the days. It has lost prestige.

Even less prestigious that the Intercontinental was back in the 80s.

You can tell Triple H wants to create a bad boy group of the WWE. It's been a while that the man in charge was a heel. It is more interesting with Triple H as heel, making Randy Orton the bad boy of the WWE again, also really marketing the Shield.

Still tough to watch that over MNF.

Do they come out as a stable? HHH, Orton, the Shield? I haven't caught up since Summer Slam which was awesome.

They're not totally a stable. The Shield basically acts as security for Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Randy Orton to a lesser extent.

One thing is sure, Survivor Series is going to be awesome if they can team all of them up together. I'm waiting to see what squad of faces can come together to take them down.

BTW, WWE Battleground tonight on PPV! Here's the card:

WWE Championship
Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton

World Heavyweight Championship - Battleground Hardcore Rules Match
Alberto Del Rio vs Rob Van Dam

Intercontinental Championship
Curtis Axel vs R-Truth

Divas Championship
AJ Lee vs Brie Bella

CM Punk vs Ryback

Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes & Goldust

Bray Wyatt vs Kofi Kingston

Santino Marella & The Great Khali vs Antonio Cesaro & Jack Swagger

Pre-Show Kickoff Match
Dolph Ziggler vs Damien Sandow

That card looks ok. More like a RAW supershow than a PPV but I mean it should be ok. I might stream it for the main events.

I gotta, say, it's been a while since I've been genuinely and enthusiastically interested in the storylines. Battleground was great and just furthers the interest I've had lately. Normally I watch MNF/HIMYM over RAW, but I might have to catch RAW tonight instead.

Not sure where else to post this, so I'll post it here.

What do you guys think about having a water moat around the ring for Royal Rumble or another battle royal? I've been throwing this idea out to friends for at least 20 years now and want to get some input from others. Why hasn't this happened? Would it be too difficult to set up? Is there a risk of somebody drowning? Wouldn't it be awesome to see guys get completely launched off a good rope-run into a back body drop? They could totally throw caution to the wind in terms of height and airtime. Anyway, just wanted to see what you guys think about it and whether it's something that could be constructed in an arena...
