Bargnani, Felton and Shumpert and future pick for Rondo, Brooks and Bass

Still think that tanking Celtics will be more interested in Amare then Bargs, because they will be able to recruit more FA in 2015 if they dump Wallace, Bass, Lee and Humphries contracts

Only thing is you're pretty much conceding failure this year if you do it because of Rondo's injury and recovery. But if there is a PG who can make Melo get in line the way Billups did it's Rondo. But Rondo is pretty aggressive with his teammates also... I don't know. I'd do it in a a heartbeat and I'd take back Wallace and Lee also because at least they're bodies who can play.

Rondo is definitely the type of leader the Knicks need. Remember that series vs the Heat where Rondo went insane on them?

I said it leaves the possibility of unloading Stat while bringing in another team to take on those Celtics players.

How long is Wallace's contract? It expires 2016 right?

I would trade Amare and Shumpert and a future pick for Rondo, Wallace and Lee in a split second.
By Boston releasing that they would take Amare, I think that's a good sign.

This is a deal I see Boston making next year to be honest, I see no reason for Boston to engage now

I agree with the fit, Rondo isnt crossing halfcourt and flipping the ball off to Melo, and he surely isnt slowing down on a fast break for him.

Last year he shot horrible. The year before that he penetrated, just happened to miss layups but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt for that due to Mettas elbow. Still can't see how upgrading your starting pg for a guy thats not in the rotation could hurt.

Let me dream a little bit tonight :)

Chandler/Aldrich/Tyler
Bargnani/Martin/Diogu
Anthony/MWP/Wallace
JR Smith/Hardaway/Lee
Rondo/Prigioni/Murry

Amare, Felton, Shump and future 1st for Rondo, Wallace and Lee

If it expires 2016, I doubt that's going to be an issue in taking on.

Honestly, I'd rather have Wallace than MWP.

Rondo is only 26 and has a great contract. Boston is not going to trade him just to clear cap so they can sign someone like Rondo. Doubt they trade him unless they get some legit lotto picks and/or legt young stars/prospects.

I'd take Rondo and there bad contracts for Shump and all of our crap in a sec. Bit Knicks just don't have anything close to get a deal done.

everyone save Melo, Bargs and THJ can be included in a possible trade...

We'll need THJ transition and range if Rondo is to come here... as for the first two?! Rondo will make them play their best ball of their career... I forgot MWP and Chandler, too :)

we have no chance to get rondo, he will prolly be traded somewhere in the off season.. at least its good to know they are not looking just to get rid of him for just anybody.

It does if we could pull in other teams that could take on those players. Stat has been a nonstarter, that he is not now allows for some possible work to be done.

That makes no sense to do. That's the old knicks way of taking on longer deals just to make a trade.

Yes let's act like we haven't been better at managing the cap than before. SMFH your ridiculous.

Then let's not pretend that Ray is worth more than a bag of potato chips.

Felton only agrees to the deal if he gets to keep said bag of potato chips...

How are we "managing the cap" correctly if we're willing to give Melo a deal worth 40% of our cap space that will severely limit our options going forward?

This organization just finished an offseason where they traded a potential lottery pick for Andrea Bargnani and you're shaking your head at me.

No doubt, he'd make the team look very solid.

I'll place this possibility on Chris Paul status though...Rondo has to open his mouth and demand for it to be possible.
