I can see Chandler being dealt to OKC, it's a fit in sooooo many ways.

We are not getting Russell Westbrook. We barely have enough assets for Kyle Lowry.

Wait what? Not only do we get a useless player in Perkins but we have to give up two first round picks? Giving up future picks is not the way to build a solid team....that isn't gonna work.

Why in blue roses hell are the Cavaliers doing this? Reggie Jackson is solid but Shumpert and Chandler are trash. Not only that but they only get two first round picks that are 4 years apart?

This deal puts OKC over the top but rapes NY and Cleveland in the ass with no lube.

Now that KD took the next step, why not?

Westbrook has had 2 injuries in 1 year now.
Kyrie Irving is younger & doesn't rely as much on his athletic ability.
Kyrie is also on his rookie contract for 2 more seasons.
Kyrie has potential to be better than Westbrook.
If it's a trade that can improve the bench & Center position before the playoffs, why not?

I'm tickled silly that the article that a fan wrote has everyone geeked now, and combined with the one that has teams valuing Tyson.

Sure they do, but they arent gonna mortgage their chance to contend by handing a away a key piece for him.

The alternative is having the Cavs keep Varejao & instead of acquiring Tyson, have the Thunder send them Steven Adams. Then have Tyson Chandler sent to OKC in place of Varejao.

That way, the Cavs keep an asset in Varejao for a deal in the off-season since he's an expiring & they acquire a 1st rd pick from this past draft who is very decent to build on in Steven Adams.

HERE'S THE REASON WHY THIS IS NOT RAPE FOR THE KNICKS:

We finally acquire a star PG for Melo, who does not make the max.
On top of that, we could then work the #'s perfectly with Melo's contract to make sure we can sign a 3rd star in 2015 since Westbrook will already be in the fold.
Felton & JR clears almost $10 mil off our 2015 cap, making the Westbrook acquisition even better. Plus we wouldn't have to dish out extra money for Shumpert's new contract.
Westbrook, THjr & Melo would only be on the books for 2015 FA.

Kyrie has been injured in each of his first two seasons, and would be likely to be injured again this season than to believe he'll be healthy.

Him being on a rookie deal is kinda irrelevant, OKC has no tax worries now.

Westbrook is only 3 years and a few months older than Kyrie, so they both have plenty of time to improve, so there's nothing base that Kyrie can not only catch, but also pass him.

That deal has no sense at all for OKC....they take a step back in hopes that Kyrie can catch up.

No doubt, there's a reason why so many are upset with him, because they know how good he SHOULD be.

The main thing is....a team that believes that Tyson is that piece to take them over the top isn't about to poke their eyes out just to get better shoes.

He isnt THAT kind of player and will not command that kind of haul.

wasn't there a report about Chandler always eating lunch with Mills, and the two have become good friends. Mills better not let friendship get in the way.

I might add a few things for people who may only watch highlights and not the actual games:
-Westbrook is good defender, Kyrie is not
-Westbrook can play BIG when it matters, Kyrie hasn't made the playoffs
-Westbrook is VERY much a part of OKC's future plans as is Ibaka and of course KD.

The part I dont get is the poster is basing the trade off injuries as if Kyrie hasnt had any, and age as if Russ is old.

Understandable. I do think Kyrie's attitude might blend better with KD & is more of a PG than Westbrook is though.

Russ thinks he top 10 material....ironically he's proven he is, so his attitude matches his game.

Kyrie by all reports is a bitch.

And how does OKC have tax worries when they've already taken care of it?

They'll make a move when that time comes, but rest assured Russ Durant and Ibaka will NOT get traded.
