Why?

He says he wants to prolong his career, and the Mets are helping him do that.

Quite frankly I hate the babying of pictures and I hate the repeat blunders of the Mets bullpen for my entire life. What happened to Harvey yesterday was a complete joke, the "innings" cap is a complete joke. I'll never understand why we use innings pitched instead of pitches thrown when evaluating pitchers. As far as trading Harvey, it's the cynical Mets fan in me. This is the year the Mets have to go all in, instead we're taking the long term approach. Do any of us really expect Cespedes to be back? Everyone gets a year older and the Mets have proven they can't win anything with the bats we'll have next year. Are we going to keep Murphy? Clippard? We need a legit bat on our team, Harvey as much as I love him remains the best option we have to getting a great everyday player back. The Mets need about an entire bullpen, that's not going to happen in my lifetime probably.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.

Ah. I get you now. Looks like I misinterpreted your initial meaning.

The main thing I don't like about all this, is the distractions it is causing. Harvey plays every 5-6 games, but he's always in the back of everyone's mind every game. The team has lost 4 of their last 5, and are only 6 games ahead. Nothing is set in stone yet.

I think the Mets have his balls twisted with how we handled him throughout the entire process since the surgery. Not allowing him to rehab where he wants, not coming back LAST year, his constant media nonsense. We have one of the best young pitchers, something to bring back the fans and it's always nonsense we're talking about him.

It's like we learned nothing with giving Pedro rest during that collapse. People want to put all the blame on Glavine, but giving Pedro those days off is what really killed us. In one of the best times in recent history for the Mets since the trade deadline it means nothing because of all the constant negative talk around our team.

Harvey went to a Ranger game.
Harvey posed for ESPN.
Harvey went on a date.
Harvey posted a picture...
ETC

I want Harvey in the biggest stage allowed to pitch, he threw 817 pitches in that one college game [Ok not really but it was a lot] and yet I have to worry if the sixth inning is coming up will he even pitch?

I think too much "Knicks Syndrome", has caused the Mets fans to have some delusional psychosis...making them think they had a shot against the TRUE 1A team of the city, the New York Yankees. 8-) *poses for the camera with the WWE belt*

talking about delusional f yankee fans the only thing they have in common with any other fan of NYC is the hate for Boston.

To come off with comments like the above just prove my point. if you did not cheat to the last world series against the mets(steriods) you would not be talking crap.

The self entitlement of yankee fans are sickening with crap like the above

Mets didnt have a chance in that series. Yankees were too hot in Sept/Oct. They were going to lose. Just be happy the Mets are good this year, history doesn't favor your franchise. Yankees are the Kings of NY, Mets will always play back up. It's not a bad team, all other MLB teams would play the same role.

Return to New York Knicks
