It's impossible to have any kind of real discussion with you. You also hate white, European players, always had. Yeah I said it.

I'm sure the Knicks toxicity has something to do with it but I also think it has something to do with his lack of strength. First two months of the season he was holding better position in the post and setting better screens. I'm not sure if it's a technique thing or he lost some weight as the season went on. I'm sure the dude has an insanely high metabolism but I remember over the summer his face looking a little chubby in photos. Somebody needs to call the Rock and get KP on his diet of 9000 calories a day diet.

I'm been posting here for years, you did the same thing with Gallo, always jumping on posters who ever tried to defend him or be realistic about his play. Same with Calderon, though to be fair, he was fairly trash. Anyway, I'm done conversing with you, you always attack other posters.

Yeah, he might not have a full gas tank these days. Maybe he is not 100% healthy, though I don't really see anything bad with his movement. Maybe it's just mental, I don't know. He still took a step forward this year, so I'm not worried about his long term development. He is still only 21.

KP is a good player who has the potential to be a great player and it's too early for anyone to make the argument (imo) whether he'll ever become more than good. One things is for sure however, many fans have more excuses for his poor performances than the ocean has fish. lol

To his credit, he doesn't use excuses but I've read "well, he's hurt". "well, he needs a pg". "well, he needs a better coach". "well, he needs to get more touches". "well, he needs to be the focal point of the offense". "well, the Knicks situation has effected his confidence". "well, Rose & Melo don't like home". "well, he's too young"

SMH, an excuse is like an @$$ hole - everyone has one and they all stink!!!! I've come to accept the fact that he's good but I don't expect him to ever be THE guy and for those hoping/thinking otherwise... I think you may become disappointed.

Most of those arguments don't hold water. I like to just keep it at the fact he's a young player and even the good young players struggle with consistency. It's just life. No need to complicate that.

However one thing I will say is that pg play is a real issue. Take Carmelo for example. Consistency isn't a problem. And let's seperate consistency with efficiency. Im talking about the ability to maintain your scoring average night after night without fail......for the most part. Well I use him cuz we all know he'll get his points but where a pg might change things is helping him play more off the ball where his efficiency would improve. Well KP is even less likely at his age to get his scoring average no matter what, especially given his position. Melo needs a pg to be efficient. KP might need a pg just to set up a consistent nightly offense. So pg play is huge.

Just relax everyone. Give him time. He has great potential. His body isn't even fully grown / filled out. Let's judge him maybe when he's 23 or 24. Now it's just ridiculous. He isn't LeBron who had a grown man's body at age 16. He also has great natural character - yes it's seemed to get lost a bit over this year, but that's just because he's surrounded by insanity. No 21 year old would not be affected by this team's crap. The team needs to build the right way and he is a great first piece, and his friend HG is a nice 2nd piece too. And honestly I'd rather try to develop him and have him turn out to only be a good player than get rid of him - let's give it a real shot - for once.

This is it. KP just needs to grow into his body. He's still frail as **** out there. That's why you can't let him get beat up. You take NO chances with this kid's health! The skills are real. The size. The athleticism. The mindset, as well. Just needs his body to fall in line. As a long time basketball-watcher, a healthy 25 year old KP is very very intriguing. Stay Strong, big fella - in body and in mind.

Y'know I get nauseous reading the comments in this forum. Imagine playing for the Knicks?

Not even two full seasons, fans are ready to throw dirt on KP. He's already better than Patrick Ewing's first two seasons. So now he's a soft bum?

Once again, let's go down the memory road of Knick picks...

Mike Sweetney, Trevor Ariza, Nate Robinson, David Lee, Wilson Chandler, Channing Frye, Jordan Hill, Andy Rautins, Landry Fields, Iman Shumpert and the sleeper pick, Renaldo Balkan....

And you jackals have the stones to criticize EVERY KP game? Wow.

Lebrun James gets bent when someone questions his "day off" by calling rest, a weapon.

KP has a stomach bug, STILL plays and he's scrutinized.

I think people are tired of seeing him play soft while these other young bigmen are dominating games.

Last year's offseason some here were saying that he was gaining/bulking rather well. It looked to me like he hardly gained any muscle definition at all and I thought its hard to play with da boyz inside with a lanky frame still. Kinda horrible too that he seemed to have prioritised acquiring "guard skills" over the things that big men do. Hopefully he now knows what to do this upcoming offseason.

I wouldn't even say he's playing soft, just not in a great rhythm or flow right now. He's playing the same way he always has since he came in to the league, just isn't making shots at the same rate as he did during the honeymoon phase
