The typical doom and gloom responses. Don't expect anything and you can't be disappointed. Who EXPECTS to move up in this lottery? I doubt you could get a single yes. I'm rooting like hell for it though!!!

4 is not possible for us. only 1,2,3,9,10,11, and 12 are in the realm of possibility.

Yeah, only way we take Porter is if he falls all the way to 9 and we're still there. We wouldn't take him top 3.

I honestly don't want the number one pick. I want no parts of Ayton who I feel like the Knicks would feel pressured to take at 1. Ideally I'd want 2nd so we could take Doncic or Bagley.

Same here.

While I'll root for whomever we Draft, Porter and Carter (more fit worries than skill set) are two at the end of my Draft list right now.

id be tempted to take Ayton with the #1

he could be a franchise level center

but Doncic and Bamba are more what Im looking for

if we got the #1 overall Id explore trading down with Phx or Memphis depending on who offered what and who was most desperate

if we could move to 2 from 1, draft doncic/bamba, get their 2nd rounder and trade Dudley and Chandler for Noah and Thomas id consider the trade an exceptional day

pure fantasy

or perhaps we trade with Memphis and send them Lee and THjr for Conley. lol

I'm curious to know what i'm missing with him. I see six foot ten SF with handles who can shoot the ball and has great court vision. was projected to be the number 1 pick before the injury. I could def be wrong so please want to hear why you guys don't like him,

It’s a lottery. Anything can happen.
The good thing about this draft is that there will be a guy even at eleven who fits and could help. If we play it safe, we’ll get Miles. If we get lucky, Mikal, Porter or Bomba could slide. Miles rises? Then we swing for the fences with a Zhaire or Lonnie or Kevin Knox.

And the trade back option is likely there for us too.

The irony is the bigger pressure and “problem” would be winning and picking number one in this draft. The top two (Ayton and Luka) aren’t obvious transformational talents and actually have high bust factors with Luka’s lack of athleticism and Ayton’s defensive indifference. Either choice could get whole buildings fired if they don’t live up to their spot. There would be so much pressure on the FO to get it right and for that kid to become a superstar. And this draft may not have that. Again, would we love winning the lotto and having that “problem?” Absolutely. But the odds are in our favor to get a good player at 9, 10 or even 11.

We are in a sweet spot in this draft.
Probability suggests we pick where we are slotted.

And there was no way a team with a healthy KP was gonna lose all the games we wished we would have.
We did our winning early. Made the Tim deal and Melo trade look good and Phil dismissal look good. We coulda been a playoff team if not for the injuries. I say all that to say please don’t go all “if we wouldn’t have won that Miami game we woulda had the same record as Chi and.....” and crazy if we don’t “win” the lotto.

A pregnant butterfly takes a dump in an old lady’s rice cake in Bangladesh and boom, the space/time continuum jumps and that lotto ball comes up.
We will be fortunate.

Lucky bastard. My wife is working today or I’d ask her to also. Instead I’m heading to insomnia in FiDi and getting a few for the road.

Not sure what’s in them but I’m addicted

I can't speak for others, but for me personally it's the injury risk. We already had a hurt Frank, we know the situation with Porzingis, I don't want to add to that with our budding youth core.

Like I said above, I'll root for them if we Draft them. But, the two of them right now sit behind other guys I'd like. Guys like Trae Young, Mikal or Miles Bridges, Sexton, etc.
