Lee can be in that same discussion because behind Hardaway there isn’t a better SG than him (on paper) no matter how old he is if we’re a competitive in camp I doubt Lee is playing like trash compared to the younger guys who he had experience over. With that said I would love to see all the young guys get burn but not if we are just handing it to them. If someone plays better than Kanter great, if someone plays better better than Lee great. The highest possibility is Mitch going off because he actually has talent. Roll the ball out who want it. No hand outs.
Again if we could throw all the young guys out and see what they can do great. I wish that was the case but Kanter is young (although not the youngest) and legit on the offensive side of the ball where we need a lot of help. I hope the young guys emerge.
also I'm not saying don't play the vets. I don't see where you got that idea. But playing them a majority of minutes also makes no sense. They also keep talking about setting a defensive presence you simply can't do that with Kanter on the floor...sorry. He's going to play a decent amount I totally get that. But if we ever want to change the defensive footprint of the team we need to start limiting his minutes...he's that atrocious on that side of the ball.
I agree with you !00%. I personally think he should be coming off the bench. However unless you want Mitch to get eaten alive we have to ease him in. I know its just basketball but these kids need to develop their body as well.

thats kanter though, he has developed a great image to fans. A guy that works hard, talks about NY as being his home. He endears himself to the fans through the media...but realistically he aint a keeper.

fair...I just need to see a plan set forth for development and minutes for the young guys so we can see who is a keeper and who isn't this is the time with KP out where wins come second to play development.
