1- Trade Mudiay or Burke to PHX for a 2nd rounder or more (maybe they'll take on Lee as well)
2- Trade Lee to anyone at or before the deadline for cap relief
3- Trade THJr to a team like Philly or Houston
4- Play the kids to a top 5 finish

Dotson’s trade value appears on the uptick. Teams started inquiring about Dotson’s availability during his recent DNP streak. The Post reported last week that at least two teams had inquired.

According to a source, the two clubs that have shown the most interest are the Pistons and Nets.

The Knicks will have a decision to make with Dotson’s contract. It is peculiar, as it has a non-guaranteed final year next season, worth $1.62 million.

The Knicks will have until July 15 — in the midst of free agency — to guarantee the contract. Or they can cut ties much sooner if they need the extra cap room to open up a max salary slot. Dotson also could be packaged in a bigger deal, say, to get rid of Courtney Lee’s pact.

Dotson, a Phil Jackson draft pick who had two DNPs to start the season and didn’t play until Kevin Knox went down in the third game, is proving to be a “3 and D” rotation fixture.

Yeah there is no decision to make on Dotson's contract  Do you want a mansion and a big bag of cash for nothing ... or just the mansion and I'll put a hole in some of your walls on the way out? Think it over.

Has us trading Dotson because other teams allegedly claim interest and the Knicks may need to move him too clear cap. 1.6mil?

STFU AND GTFO. THIS LOSER CAN'T STAND NO DRAMA HERE SO HE'S MAKING UP BS TRADE IDEAS!!! STOP POSTING HIS GARBAGE PLEASE!

When is Trier's last game before maxing out his 2-way limit?

It's not games, it's days and I believe tonight is his last night. Either we offer him a contract or he gets sent down

So is cutting Baker the easy move? Or do you send Zo down to buy time to make a trade elsewhere? Would Dotson really be available? Given his contract I don't know what Detroit would offer- probably Ellenson and a 2019 SRP with the idea you then cut Ellenson.

Cutting someone and signing him is the ideal thing to do

They don't count travel days or days off, so he could have a few more days or another week.

The exact date is murky — Trier gets credit for every day he spends with the Knicks, except travel days and off-days, which can be complex accounting with some latitude and self-policing on what qualifies as a rest day and one with team obligations. It could come as early as Dec. 6 but is more likely to fall somewhere in the week after towards mid-December.

He's trying to create a story, then go to Dotson and ask him about the rumors of him being talked about in trades.

Which part of the article quotes him as saying "My approach is to launch up as many shots as possible to score as many points as possible, in pursuit of getting paid" ?

Lakers got a first round pick when they traded Lou williams. I will be happy of we can just get a 2nd round pick for Burke.

lou williams is lightyears better than burke.. he was balling on a crazy level before and after the lakers deal (per 36, 28/5/3.5 61%ts)

why on earth are ppl talking about trading zo, frank, or dotson? all 3 should be knicks for at least 2 more seasons

just cut baker, let the vets move on/expire/obviously trade if possible, and keep tanking (do better at tanking)

Yeah the smart thing to do is cut baker, look to trade Lee, Burke, Mudiay in that order. If you have the chance to trade Tim, get rid of him. The future of this team is Frank, Dot, Trier, Knox, KP, Vonleh, and Mitch. If you move Tim, you open enough money to give a max contract & pay Trier + Vonleh at the same time. Add in a FA + a max player this summer and we are a playoff these next year.
