"Hey sorry this entrance is now designated for personnel only"

"Ok my bad, what entrance can I use"

"this entrance blah blah blah"

"ok thanks"

that is it that is all...wtf you creating a scene for over something so small.

Nah Spike is saying they told him he needed to leave the stadium from the employee entrance and go around to the front entrance. That's why he spazzed, because he thought Dolan told them to do that to harass him. Why tell the man to leave once he's already inside? He said he was just there Wednesday no problems.

all reports had him talking to Dolan at halftime to clear the air. Why the need to keep the story going.

If the miscommunication happened...talk it out. Clear the air between two adults. Why go on ESPN after they supposedly hashed it out?

Don't you get it... in 2020 you have to gain some sort of clout from everything. Being treated like a NORMAL person is degrading and the world must know about it.

Did security threaten to arrest Spike?

He should be entitled seeing as he's pretty much the face of the Knicks.

he's just a fan. he doesn't work there.

Considering the amount of money he spends and his status as damn near Knicks ambassador and in-game mascot. The change in policy should have been communicated to him ahead of time. If anything, to avoid this current embarrassing situation.

Ask yourself this. Could you see this happening to Jack Nicholson at the Staples Arena? To Drake at ScotiaBank up north? They would have been taken care of. The policy would have been privately communicated to them to avoid this.

It's the Garden spin BS that pushed Spike to talk. Dolan and MSG always do that ****. All the time

We probably wouldn't hear about it on First Take the next day from those 2 either

Building security have no authority to arrest, only the police do.

If security was being hostile toward Spike, that security officer should be fired.

However, if Spike was directed in a normal manner about the use of entrance, and Spike disagreed, did security inform one of the building workers to not allow him in that entrance? If not, that security officer should still be fired. He/she wasn't doing their job.

So he was butthurt. Making something outta nothing. Just to have the media destroy the Knicks.

EDIT: Now I see the statement. Do they want to make this even worse now?

This... it just makes us look like a bunch of disorganized fools to not tell our super fan about a rule change. It just shows that nothing will change unless Dolan sells the team.

Simply because of what happened to Oakley.

This man went on First Take saying they didn't shake hands and there was no smiling. Doesn't he know cameras are every where now?

Is there a single team that writes worse press releases than the New York Knicks? It's not even close

It’s funny that the Knicks release statements that are directly from Dolan and don’t credit Dolan as saying it.

It’s just Dolan referring to himself in third person. He might as well be the head of PR too. The PR guy gets paid a fortune and has the easiest job in the world - do whatever Dolan says regardless of optics.

He has a right to go on whatever show he wants to be interviewed. You sound foolish.

Now they release a statement to make them look even more foolish. Congrats, Spike, you succeeded. Nothing has changed from this clown show.

Just an astounding sense of entitlement. Does he act the same way at his favorite restaurant? “You can’t give them my table! I’ve been coming here for years! You’re trying to Oakley me! Someone get the food critic of the Times on the phone!”

What a childish and embarrassing move for a grown man to make. Maybe it’s best he stays home for future games.

Follow the money people.... No coincidence Oakley's name was brought up in this the week after he lost his lawsuit and filed a new appeal...

The only takeaway I got here is...Leon Rose is not allowing any one except employees to use the employee entrance at MSG. Spike didn't get the memo because it was decided that morning. This is what happens when there is no communications from the FO. This hasn't changed in all these years...I dare say yet because I know better...
