At his size you HAVE to be able to shoot and I just don’t see it with his shot. He has that lean-back hitch that I don’t like.

He might be able to play a CP3 type game where the height won’t matter

CP has always flirted in the 50/40/90 range. Cooper doesn’t offer that type of shooting efficiency. I just don’t see a Trae situation with him. His shooting and finishing ability would have to dramatically improve. And he’d have to revamp his release.

Paul has also always been a highend defender as well. Cooper may have some elements of CP3's game, but CP3 needed all of it to overcome his size like he has.

CP3 was a great shooter and defender coming out of college, Cooper isn't

Not sure if he has been mentioned in here, but any Bones Hyland fans?

I really want this dude in the with one of the early seconds. Why have one Immanuel Quickley when you can have two of them.

He is more shifty and Flashy than him thoe. His shot is mad wet. A Scoring guard that is flying under the radar for the moment. He played in the A10 like Obi so the scouts may have a read on him from last year.

I wonder if the Knicks will be focusing on older prospects now with the current regime instead of the one and doners. I think it would be a mistake of they do but it is interesting to note that both of the first rounders taken this last draft were at least 21 and I don't know if that was just a coincidence.

That kinda depends on whether they knew what they were drafting or were under the same misconceptions about Obi as a lot of people on this board. If they thought he was a polished prospect just because of his age, then maybe. If they realized that despite his age Obi was a late-bloomer who was still raw because of that late growth spurt, then I don't think that pick signals a focus on more "ready" prospects rather than them just thinking that Obi had the most potential at that spot.

And late 1st are often older than lottery picks, so not sure how much we can take from the IQ pick, either.

I don't think that has anything to do with it. Last draft was the worst one in years and the picking were very slim in terms of talent based off of drafting position. This years draft class is very deep so you don't need to worry about that.

I wonder this too b/c Thibs has shown that he prefers vets, so maybe he doesn't want to wait around for an 18 y/o

+ as POBO of the Wolves, his 1st ever pick: Kris Dunn (22), his 1st pick w/ the Knicks: Obi (22)

if anything, this should tell the FO: DON'T DRAFT A 22 Y/O IN THE LOTTERY!!!

Don’t see this happening but if BJ Boston falls to our 1st pick in round 2 (Pistons pick most likely), we taking him right?

Random unlikely scenario. The team ends up with #2 and #3. If you can, do you trade both for #1?

Sorry if this has been asked before

Praying the Draft Gods will look favorably upon us for improved decision making and play by gifting us Jalen Suggs. He would be the perfect PG for this team and would be a dynamic backcourt partner with RJ.

Nope. If anything you trade down from one of them if the team at 4 or 5 really wants Mobley.

Or you see if #2 and Mitch is enough for #1 so you can Grab Cade and Mobley

Honestly it’s Cade. He would fit like a glove

IQ
RJ
Cade
Randle
Mitch

Then you try and draft the most dynamic scorer with the other pick.

I won't know until the GL gets going. But Mitch & 2 of Suggs/Green/Kuminga, sounds even more tempting than Cade & Mobley.
