If Oubre was willing to take 10-15 million for 2 years with the fact he knows he's a 6th\7th man kind of player, and maybe keeps the contract brief so he can "prove it" and still get a big pay day when he's 26/27, then MAYBE.

But all your points are what he seems to be. So he'll want too much money, may try to pump his stats, and seems like he could easily wind up disgruntled. No thanks.

And I kind of like him as a player, but there seems to be those kind of red flags there.

Also, I wouldn't even want him on the Knicks until they solved, at minimum, attacking guard.
Not even sure he'd be a choice even after that is solved.

Not putting this anywhere near the trade board, but I can see Oubre wanting to do what Jerami Grant did. If Pistons move Grant, I could see them doing the same thing with KO.

Real question would be: Would we trade Knox for KO at 4/80?

If RJ played more like current Zach LaVine, then maybe I'd consider Oubre. Or, if Oubre could well and truly play stretch 4, and we went after him at a cheaper price to backfill Obi after he was traded for Sexton. But neither of things are true.

Oubre has some talent, but even at 15 million - a team kind of wants to start start him. How can you start RJ and Oubre?
Even with Sexton/Rose to handle getting to the rim, not sure that really works.
