i was just thinking about the level of competition during practice this team will now have.

they replaced frank, pinston, harper, and pelle with grimes, mcbride, simms, and vildoza. obi and iq are a year more experienced, bacon replaces bullock -- knox is the only loser that still is going to suck the life out of everyone.

imagine defending frank or pinston or harper or knox in practice? how do you improve? they suck.

the knicks lost in the playoffs because during practice they would simulate plays the hawks ran with frank, harper, knox, pelle, and pinston pretending to be trae, huerter, collins, and capela. :lol:

grimes and mcbride are good role players they'll be in the rotation -- not this year though.

and tbh if they are getting significant minutes then that means something the knicks are either terrible or a lot of guys got injured.

Knicks won't want McBride hounding Kemba or Rose in practice :lol:

Gotta wonder if Knox is even demoted from our practice squad third team. Might be a good thing for Mitch's mental growth to jettison Knox asap, but we are pretty thin at PF depth. We kind of need Knox in case something happens to Jules or Obi. Although lord knows Thibs would play Taj at PF before Knox.

And thats fine. If the vets aint bringing it and you need a spark, go to one of the rooks.

Im not saying hes a point but hes definitely not Courtney Lee or Demyean Dotson.

I kept saying I wish IQ wasn’t playing so we can see Grimes run point more. He was a combo guard coming out of HS and those clips above show why. There’s definitely some untapped potential there as a passer.

I see him as a secondary playmaker. If he ends up being a point guard in the league, more money more problems.

We gotta support Mitch man. He was the best of the bums we drafted in the last regime. Hopefully he does break out, has all nba defense capability.
