Opening statement from Thibs is him emphasizing that we played HARD. Sending a message through the media that good things happen when the effort is there.

All this implies he thinks we don’t play hard enough often. Which is an indictment of our leadership who is supposed to be an extension of the coach out there on the floor each and every game.

Randle kinda ruined the narrative of his rep as a hard worker with the inconsistencies in his effort this year.

He might be ok with limited use. He seems just happy to be here. Just phase him into coach mode like we did with Sheed that once year.
IQ will shadow start. Kemba about to get the Elf treatment.

Agreed. But unlike Elf I think Kemba has accepted his fate. His body has betrayed him, save a few vintage performances.

They're REALLY tough. Not a weakness on them.

Only weakness I see is that CP3 will have retire eventually....

That 23 and me unit in the second quarter was extremely fun to watch.

I want more of that.

kemba's contract is cheap enough that we should contemplate cutting him

There is no world where we cut Kemba, just for the optics alone

eating his contract and letting him ring chase isnt that bad optics

I remember all that Burks slander this board was doing to start the year.. I said it already but I’d much rather have him at his salary over Fournier

Consistently got the defense on their heels and he’s quick enough and has a solid wingspan to play defense.

Iq one of our faster players. He doesn’t look at hood with starters imo though imo.

He even Dd up Gallo a few times

OH MY GOD Quickley is an elite defender holy ****.. . . this kid is unbelievable the jump he's made. Frustrated young all night. Kid can shoot, facilitate, defend. He'll be starting eventually. Maxey who...?

Mitch dominated ealy on until they started calling ticky tack fouls... Shoutout to the rookie Sims, played inspiring ball. I'd play him over Noel every game lol. He attacks the boards and intimidates down low with his shot altering and positioning.

Shoutout to Randle who played great defense, made the right plays to find the open guy. Still some frustrating moments but he's got to figure out how to play as a team.

Burks just won the starting stop the rest of the season. Thibs should be fired if he doesn't.

Grimes is GRIMEY... . Just hard nosed pesky defender and that shot. We got some really talented young guns..... OBI, OBI, OBI

GREAT **** TEAM WIN. TEAM

Real reason we won is that our defense held a team that averaged 120 in their winning streak to only 90 points.

It looked like the defense from last year and the only piece missing was Kemba. Even the starters, when they came out the 3rd struggling, were able to keep it close with their defense.

Idk if we can getaway with those Elf starts with Kemba though. You could do that with him because defensively (team and individual) he didn’t hurt you , even if he wasn’t giving you offense. Kemba on the other end hasn’t been strong on either side of the court to spot start him especially with these slow starts we have been having

True. And then they have to re invent themselves so they have a window. I was really impressed with what I saw last night though. They've taken a step forward with internal development.

Mitch was a -5 and Jericho was +14. Mitch is very expendable now. Get on the phone Leon
