No reason to overrate Sims like we overrate every other young player we've had for the past 10 years. He's been okay, but we need to see some consistency. 1 solid game out of 5 doesn't impress me enough to say we don't need Mitch. Let it play out before we start anointing him like we've anointed all the rest of 'em. You're just setting yourself up for disappointment.

Knicks haven’t been that talented in a really long time

It's true that the Knicks would be in a much better position with just the players the Nets didn't play with.

And it's not even close.

Sims has also looked terrible at times and lost.. sure Mitch may be gone and could be replaced but I’m not sure Sims is that guy or ready for that role just yet

We got no closer Randle becomes TO machine Burks misses everything Evans can't pass and RJ misses two straight layups. By the time rose returns this season will be over.

His motor is unparalleled (gave us a ton on second chance shots)and I love how he goes straight up for blocks. IMO this game solidifies him as our backup center.

Sims is our next great player

Jericho Sims reminds me of rookie Jarrett Allen. No joke. You guys seriously have something there with him. It’s literally the exact same style of play and mannerisms. I’m not sure if the measurements length wise match but he passes the eye test. Allen had the luxury of Russell, Dinwiddie and LeVert/Napier, Jeremy Lin. Sims could look really eye opening around a healthy Rose. Our biggest mistake with Jarrett Allen was trying to force him into becoming Brook Lopez, Atkinson and Nash forcing him to shoot 3s. It just didn’t work.

I personally would start him and test the waters in a few games to see how he measures up as a Mitchell Robinson replacement before the season is over. You could potentially save so much and add an asset by pushing him and letting Robinson go.

I’d like to see more before embarrassing myself but a lot of Nets fans had many civil wars over Jarrett Allen and he’s now blossomed into an all-star.

Appreciate the kind words...I agree. He actually reminds me of Ben Wallace.

Jarrett Allen and Ben Wallace? LMAO. He's a 22 year 2nd round pick who has shown he can rebound a bit and has some hops. Probably should slow down a bit.

Damn! We're a lot further along than I thought we were!

What's funny is those names are the exact names we've heard by a lot of Knicks fans. I guess when you don't have much talent for a long time, the only thing you can do is overrate your own players and convince yourself they're going to be great.

Not a chance I guarantee now we win at least 3 more maybe more. This team is ass backwards.

-> Keep Sims/Noel as the C rotation next year
-> Trade Mitch for a PG or other assets in a S&T
-> Trade either Burks or Fournier; remaining guy goes to the bench as a 7th man
-> Trade Rose to Chicago for picks or keep him as a 6th man to be traded later
-> If Cam and RJ can't convince Zion to force his way to NY this off-season, then trade Cam for assets
-> Sign Rubio to play PG; 2-year MLE
-> Draft two additional PG's with our two picks; develop them as the future

Adding 4 PG's in addition to McBride?

David Kahn approves.

We haven’t had a all-star level PG prospect in over two decades… it’s our greatest area of need… bring in four guys and hopefully one stands out as a stud and another as a legit back up. What we’ve been doing… hasn’t been working.

The more I watch us play the more that 3 game win streak bothers me. Was such a waste. We really could have a shot at a high pick but Thibs gonna mess it up
