This stuff always happens to us ... maybe I'm wrong and we need another scorer like Bojan ... but we lost this on stupid play and I feel like Maxey is def capable of doing two more ... not to mention Joel

Lose the series, I think time to say goodbye to Thibs ... he's sort of sitting there asleep ... he stopped coaching

Tough call because he IS a good coach but he assumed the lead was safe, even though we came back from a similar lead in about the same time ... you tell Mitch to go nowhere near Maxey

If we lose the series which i dont think we will Divo has to be where the upgrade comes from...

Allowing them a 3pt opportunity for OT instead of putting them at the line for 2 was the reason for this loss.

That's a coaching call.

Yep!

If we had fouled, Maxy could have made 2 and not the 3. That did it!

That's basic, elementary basketball stuff.

Even the announcers were mentioning it.

That happened in game 2 as well, Breen was calling for the Knicks to foul before that last Embiid attempt.

I don’t blame any one player, this was just a series of missed opportunities from pretty much everyone.

Bummer, but we just need one win…

Yeah, win and loss as a team, but we need some adjustments.

Hart's miss was short. Usually a sign of fatigue + nerves (no legs).

No drills will help that .

Nerves. So scream at him while he's shooting free throws. There are drills for late game free throws. I love Josh, but I can't give him the late game cop out on that.

Yup... Embiid is gonna show up next game. Someone other than Brunson better start to show up.

Game 5 - Embiid was trash

Game 3 - Knicks shot 48.9% FG and 43.3%

Both losses. Opportunities arises and couldn't close it out.

There were great stretches in the 2nd and 4th where we took leads but not big enough leads. Several little plays where we could have extended, like when Hart sailed a pass too high for OG after a great defensive play.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Thibs literally had the blueprint to how to lock up both Maxey and Embiid in Game 4 and just threw it in the garbage. BRO WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Im Coming Home wrote:Thibs figured out the formula in Game 4, and then just didn't use it..

Stupid stupid play.

Yeah those saying Thibs wasn't on the court so he didn't lose this c'mon you gotta see the context... Precious had 4 blocks and without him we wouldn't have won the last game... you really can't use 8 players??? He can't even play 10 mins?? He and OG basically put Sixers in jail, and you can't even go back to that even for 5 mins, in the first half to see if it's not a fluke??? Don't think he would have been as jump happy as Mitch guarding Maxey on that play .. I think Precious is as good as Mitch guarding Embiid, and better when he's switched onto Maxey...

Yeah you gotta earn Thibs' trusts but his extreme view on rotations can be putrid... and damaging to players' confidence... you're supposed to reward your players when they do well, and not DNPCDd him after he basically helped win the previous game!!!

You have to have mentality of steel like Deuce... going through months and years of DNPCDs and not let them take a chunk of his confidence... but not everyone has Deuce's steel mentality... most people they do well with rewards (playing time and trust) and suffer from punishments (DNPCDs)...

How do you basically treat a player like expired meat when he just won you a game???
