I think Grant kinda sucks to be honest. I put him in the Tobias Harris/Zach LaVine category. He gets decent stats but does he actually help you win games? I can’t say so.

you just told buzz somebody sucks because they are like tobias harris

Ban him!

bizarre how that OG highlight is 2hrs long and an nba game is only 48mins.

pray for my families and og's health when I open my eyes and before I close em. and not always in that order. tbf, og's defense has never let me down.

this lets us slide hart back into the bench and gives us an actual wing off the bench, and giving us more balance.

it doesn't mean we abandon 5 out. it just means we're not playing 5 out the entire game.

mitch 20mpg at 5
kat 20mpg at 5.

last year when we were starting sims at C he was still only playing 15mpg. I think that's how we could similarly arrive to the correct way to play mitch.

it can work. having hart off the bench is valuable.

Just out of curiosity have you seen something that you may have not expected that has changed your opinion on the rotation? You seemed to be heavily on the "offense is your best defense" train since last post-season. Maybe I misunderstood some of your comments. I know you are just suggesting to pair Mitch and KAT together to start games but I assumed you would want to try to make it work with the current starting unit or possibly swap Hart for McBride.

So are we off the ledge now? Or just moved back from it to take a better leap if they lose another game you think they shouldn't?

OG played more defense on Lillard in two plays than Bridges did all game.

Time to have a discussion on Bridges, on why his defense is so f*cking horrific, and how his membership in Team Wingstop needs to be revoked, his membership replaced by McBride.

Stewart on Detroit?
Precious of the Knicks?

Trying to think of cheaper guys who are available. I'm sure there are some others who are cheap and as a result their teams won't trade them.

Since Mitch won't be back for another 60 games, Knicks should think of starting Precious and bringing Hart off the bench.
If not, at least having Precious as a 20 mpg sub should help.
Like 10 mpg backing up Hart and 10 mpg backing up KAT.
Huck can get 5 mpg.
Sims can get DNP-CDs all season

I guess I have to bring some facts to the conversation to those of you who think Tobias Harris is an empty stats bum, last season he was on the Sixers and they were a playoff team while Detriot was bottom of the conference, now he's on the Pistons and the Sixers are on the bottom of the conference and the Pistons are currently in a playoff seed....jussayin.

If Knicks figure out how to CONSISTENTLY defend in the 5 out system its game over for the league. But I don't know if we are there yet. The insde the paint this year has been so much softer. Can we do it 'well enough' to succeed kinda like Celts have without a true Center with KP out?

Do we still really need a rim protector to play significant minutes to mitigate teams that gash us inside? Is it just Thibs making the eventual adjustments successfully? Is he a one trick Pony who will struggle coaching any other system consistently but his drop system? Because we all know when he has an elite rim protector combined with some guys who are good at closing out on the 3 his system is PROVEN elite (3 of last 4 years sans the Kemba/Fournier starter year).

All huge questions that need to be answered.

Tobias is most definitely not terrible ....he is a bit of an intangibles guy. You always feel like you want more offensively from him but he does a lot of little things that win you games well.

Bridges is more of a team defender than he is a stopper, and he's better against 2s than he is 1s. OG is the wet blanket stopper and Deuce is our best POA defender.

Bridges has to tone down gambling for steals and he'll round back into shape, his jumper is really the biggest issue with him right now. He can't make threes from outside the corners.

Knicks have been really hyping up OGs defense all year. And its legit. This is a good article.
