Pace doesn't stop guys from getting hurt, all of his teams play at a slow pace and injuries have been a key feature since he's been a head coach. The issue is just the minutes and the demands he places on defense, you look around the league and two way wings just don't play the minutes ours are playing right now. It's too demanding to ask guys to be great on both ends of the floor, outside of the injuries you have diminishing returns.

I don't miss the negative Nancy's that hide when things are going good. I know they are somewhere lurking hoping it all fails before they come around to post. Some are still here but, they post a LOT less than they used to because too much good is happening for them to ruin the board with nonsense.

It's just weird how much the threads have shortened now that we have something good going on.

shams personal issues are centered around a breaking and entry charge at Radio Shack and how the feds are trying use that to flip him as a key witness against Diddy.

He almost left before when something happened that he didn't like, he just followed through this time.

 Radio shack is crazy

But I hope everything is fine with sham

I feel more sad for whoever is in his group chat discussing basketball with him or the barbershop he goes to cause they're getting full sham. It must be pure misery for everyone involved. Imagine trying to cut his hair when he hasn't told you for 2 weeks how much this team needs Mitch, whoever owns the Bodega he goes to gotta hear about how much better we'd be if we had traded for DeRozan and Dame.

Nobody should ever experience real world sham on 10.

There's not as much to cry about.

Discussing how to fix a thousand things wrong with the team, venting rage after losses, and fierce back and forth fights between frustrated posters fills a lot of thread pages very quickly. That's all.

Yeah. Some posters left/were banned as well but, the misery and the stupid player wars did drive a lot of posts. It's definitely noticeable. It's a lot less Homer vs hater wars. I guess it makes sense but, it's still a fact that posters are no longer around as well. Probably because of the misery and the stupid wars.

You're right.....

For instance, if you go look back at the official Knicks sign Jalen Brunson thread, it's like walking through a graveyard seeing so many names of people who are not posting anymore. :o

Who would root for the 6ers when they no longer have Tobias Harris?

Overall the boards are the same but it fluctuates based on team and win or loss. In general, enthusiasm for the NBA is waning some.

I could write a book on it but I think the NBA is losing people's hearts - attention at least - for various reasons, some of which have very little to do with basketball. It has been in scramble mode since COVID. But they have to contend with major headwinds and I don't think the measures they've implemented necessarily help.

The switch to high volume three point shooting has definitely taken some of the substance out of the game. Just running back forth chucking threes too often. One and done offense and then scrambling back to try and play D while the other team runs up the court and jacks a three. It can be pretty ugly when the shots aren't falling. The superteams took a lot out of it too for a while. Not being allowed to play defense. Superstar leniency with calls. Foul baiting and flopping. Now with all of the gambling people think the refs are in on the fix with the terrible officiating. Then the stupid gimmicks have also turned people off. The streaming blackouts. Terrible all star games. It's a different game from the one I grew up watching.

I think that's only the tip of the iceberg.

you know what isn't talked about enough - tobias leaves the 6ers and now they're finished. he heads to the pistons and now they're the 6th seed. and here people don't give you credit for being a visionary. your talents are wasted on us.

True, but his defense is pretty demanding. You have to go over every screen, and it requires sprinting to your close outs frequently. It's still not as exhausting as playing an extra 10 possessions, but it takes a toll.

Morning thoughts.

1. Happy birthday to Earl the Pearl! Looks great for almost 80! Protect him and Clyde at all cost!

2. This might just be the best offense from a Knicks team I've ever seen. This was the 7th game with 30 or more assists. Last season we only had 10 total. That's Thibs and his staff and Brunson.

3. KAT is no pussbox like Embiid who would have sat out a month if he took that fall on his back like KAT did. KAT can continues to put that "too soft" label to rest.

4. Brunson has reached elite level passing. He is seeing plays before they happen. Playing more like Nash and less like an Iverson with this roster. And unlike a guy like Nash he can explode for 40 if you need him too.

5. Sims isn't good but he is playing his best. That dunk was nice!

6. Payne is a pain in the ass but he is shooting the ball well.

7. Wizards are sad. I feel bad for Brogdon and Valanciunas. They shouldn't be on a team like that.

I mean, that was the prediction. That we'd have to move away from our historic OREB rate but we had the pieces to do it.

Sorry, I got pulled away for some bedtime activities before I could finish.

I expected the offense to be the easy part. We have so many weapons and Towns is better than I realized. The defense is the harder construction. I've liked what we've seen from Mikal the past few games. Finally starting to find his place here. Wiz are a bad barometer but them and the Nets had trouble getting theirs so that's a good sign.

Thibs is so big into Net ratings...you think he looks at Net ratings by qtr?

our 4th qtr net rating is dismal. 2nd worst in the league at -13.6.

I hate to put that all on the amount of minutes our starters play because another part is a new team learning to play together...but the minutes are a major factor. Its just hard to sustain that level of focus and execution especially on defense when you are playing so many minutes.

post game threads are typically lighter when there is a blow out, especially a blow out win.

Especially vs the **** Wiz's...can't really take too much by playing a bad team like them.

Losses typically will garner my posts because you will have more back and forths between posters.

Personally I don't think you want to look at the post counts...you want to look at the quality of posts.

Towns with precious will unlock this offense and defense…precious with mobility, excellent help d and resilient to be able to defend (in short spurts), the low post and offensive game that plays outside in . Will make things humm

I would have never thought Josh Hart would have a better 3-point percentage than Mikal Bridges at this point in the season.
