His crisis management team / PR firm must have advised him the best way to salvage his disastrous season and stop the 5 picks talk was to endear himself with the anti Thibs crowd. Pretty nasty work but it could help in the short term

Thibs is full of it, the problem is he doesn't rest starters when the other team is resting starters. Way too many instances of playing starters in garbage minutes whether we're winning or losing as well as not reducing their minutes while they are battling injuries. So exhausted by reporters who say we're imagining all this as if we haven't seen tons of Knicks coaches and NBA coaches who don't do what Thibs does. And most of all it's insulting to the players who are stating the obvious. Not going to be gaslit.

I'd rather keep Mikal and replace Thibs.

That’s a great way to describe Mikal Bridges - soft.

It’s not just this minutes comments. It’s getting over screens. It’s finishing at the rim.

Just a soft player.

That interview may have very well been Bridges' biggest contribution to the team going forward. I was doubting whether the FO would fire Thibs in the offseason but such an interview may very well increase the odds of such an outcome by a milestone.

Literally if I'm the FO, there couldn't more of an indictment on the head coach. Fans been saying this for months/years and now we see that at least some players think the same way too.

This clown needs to be fired and fired this offseason.

And not only does Thibs destroy his team throghout the season with very little playoff success to show for, he also shortens their careers. Like if a player could maybe stretch out the prime of his career till 35/36, a Thibs player will face the end of his prime by 32.

Could also end up being two grown men hearing each other out and moving forward like adults.
I dunno.

Thibs comment is so (Please Use More Appropriate Word) it is baffling. Hart and Bridges share the first spot in the entire league in minutes played per game. OG who is an injury prone player is 6th on that list (the fact that he had a 4 week injury may have saved his season a bit). Then you have Brunson at 20 and KAT at like 25. In essence you have your entire starting 5 in the top 25----the only team in the league to do so----and you have a clueless head coach pointing to JB and KAT being "only" at 20 and 25.

Really can't make that **** up----Thibs needs to be fired ASAP, meaning send him packing after whatever outcome we have in the playoffs. With this dude as a head coach you will never ever ever win a title. Like never.

Let us see what the currently best team in the league is currently doing---how many players do they have in the top 5? NONE! Yes none....not even Garland or Mitchell.

Let us look at the second best team: OKC. How many do they have in the top 50? One guy--SGA, ranked at 33!!
Boston has Tatum at 7, Brown at 21 and White at 44.

We need a coaching change and quick. The player's longevity and durability needs to be saved, it is literally important for the frnachise going forward, especially a franchise that doesn't control his FRP 6 years into the future.
