I have a friend who works at the garden. He just spoke to Al Trautwig and asked Al if he thought there was any chance LeBron comes to the Knicks. Trautwig said: "He is coming. I have a source at ESPN who has never fed me false information and this source says he is coming to NY."

Again, I would have no reason to lie about this. I obviously don't believe that Al's source is correct but I do believe that my friend had this conversation with Trautwig.

I have no reason to lie about this. I have been here for nearly 7 years. I'm depressed about this but I just got a little bit of hope left.

Walsh and D'Antoni must be really good actors then.

It doesnt take Tom Hanks to just act a little depressed for an hour.

I guess not. But the comments were really telling. Then this whole Lee to GS thing leaks out. Something tells me Walsh was informed the Knicks are out but didn't want to step on Lebron and ESPN's toes (why not? They really should) so he didn't make the deal yet.

Imagine the plane crashes? Miami, NY, Chicago, and the Cavs fanbases would be arguing for decades over where he really was going to go. That would be the most long lasting entertainment of all. LeBron better have his affairs in order and hope ESPN isn't thinking this way.

Dang, that's a bad joke, pal. :-?

yeah man, i didnt see the interviews but my guess would be that the whole knicks FO is acting and bluffing, and are in the know

after all, there's only a couple of hours left, the knicks would probably like to surprise their fans anyway

Interesting take. It's interesting that people here on the Knicks board see this Miami nonsense as a smokescreen, but few think it's a smokescreen to hide the fact that he's staying in Cleveland. Hmm.

I hear you.

This too shall pass however.

I'm letting go.

LeBron should want NY. If he doesn't, too bad.

There are a lot of basketball players in the world and some of them have titles, unlike LeBron.

I love the guy and wish him well if he doesn't come, but he is just made of flesh and bone (granted I'm probably not the guy to be making that argument).

Whatever he decides, there are other people who play basketball well for a living.

Lie...it's just your defense mechanisms kicking in. If he announces he's coming here you along with everyone else here will instantly cum!

Actually, not. I've never really wanted him here.

If LeBron IS coming, PLEASE work out some other deal with the Warriors to get Lee to them and the Knicks get the parts back. PLEASE!

And yes, I am more pumped about the Lee trade then LeBron MAYBE coming now. I have grown tired of the LeBron show, presented by the people who put entertainment before sports.

Hey, if he doesn't come here, we make a very good deal with GS. Either way, we win.

The only reason I don't think he will is that how can he feel about that team winning a title?

Lebron still has time to change his mind

Post#1413 » by nyc6 » Thu Jul 8, 2010 9:13 pm

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/4172 ... t-you-hear

It's becoming clear that even many Miami heat fans are not too fond of this trio. Leaving CLE to any team will get CLE fans upset, but leaving specifically to MIA will get the city of ohio outraged and be terrible for the rest of the NBA fans. Ray allen/KG/Pierce were not all in their primes and joined via trades, not a "summit". If he joins knicks, i expect the east to be very well balanced. If he joins the bulls, i expect them to compete with LA. If he join the miami heat, i expect them to win it all in their sleep (pat riley will find his way to fill the rest of the roster) but it will mean nothing and no1 will be watching the NBA till lakers and heat meat in finals next year. There is no reason to to believe that he might change his mind after all of the criticism he has taken in the last 8 hours.

LeBron saying Miami will be so anti climatic now. You would think for TV reasons that him, Carter and a couple of others could keep their mouths shut.

It would be like us knowing what happens to Tony Soprano before the finale of the Sopranos, or knowing the ending to lost. How come TV shows/movies are able to keep everything tight lipped when hundreds are working on the show but 5-10 guys cant keep a secret?

I agree.

Seriously, he's done absolutely nothing. He's going to be on ESPN for an hour with all the proceeds going to charity. That is the ONLY thing people can call him a diva over, and it's pretty ridiculous. If he really was a diva, he'd be talking to the media, and he WOULDN'T have a set date for his announcement. He would put off his decision and keep people guessing, keep the media focused on him as long as he could. The guy has been nothing but a professional, it's been the fans and the media that have been giving him this attention.
