besides all this, it says in this article that d'antoni doesn't like ar as a player. so keeping him is gonna end up being worthless. if we don't use him for melo, we should use him for something.

100% true i feel. i mean in the lebron scenario he had deals lined up in case lebron didnt choose us, and he acted on them immediately. its hard to believe he doesnt have deals in place right now if melo is dealt elsewhere. clearly if he hasnt acted on his other plans yet its because we're still in it for melo regardless of whats written.

Do you think he could play with Felton? I think he could for 15-20 minutes a night, and he could run the point for the 10-15 minutes Ray is out of the game.

Because you can buy such a pick for 3mil. If the pick is lottery protected, what's the use? Hold onto the knucklehead for now and help him remove his head from his ass.

I could see Wolves wanting to give up pick. Kahn might really like Randolph and might be looking for some insurance in case Love bolts. Also they've had a ton of picks last few years at some point alot of gm's will look to fill in instead of draft...

Good article by Bill Simmons on why Carmelo to the Nets would be career suicide

Trade randolph!, hes a jerk his demeanor is annyoing. I hope donnie isnt drinking the cool aid, yes we're wining and the team has great chemistry but we are not going far in playoff let alone contend. We need melo some one who can create their own shot. I know we need a center but the centers that are avaliable are decent, you dont pass on a superstar to get a "decent" player. You can always find a decent center.

I dont want to trade chandler or fields but for a star like melo you have too, fields is a great ROLL PLAYER but thats all he is.. A role player.

That article turned into a pitch to play for the Clippers

Simmons made several good points until the second half of the column got deleted and replaced by a Blake Griffin love letter.

3 M was well worth Toney Douglas, was it not?

Yep and I'd be willing to buy another late first rounder. No need to trade for one.

But which first are we getting? If it's the Jazz's pick, then no, unless that pick is used in a Melo deal.

Randolph apparently hasnt done anything that would earn him minutes. If someone cant take advantage of his opportunities, screw him. Waste another team's time...

It doesn't say what pick unless I missed something. Wolves will not give up their own first but they also have Utah's protected first and Memphis' protected first. Most likely will be one of those, which is not too much to give up for AR. I'm actually kind of surprised Telfair isn't being mentioned in this. It seems like most people thought Telfair + UTA or MEM pick for AR was fair.
