Tired of people getting on Donnie for not making this deal happen faster. People are so used to incompetence that they don't know a damn good GM/basketball mind when they see one. Just because the man refuses to bend over and let some noobs goose him in the ass, does not make him incompetent.

IN DONNIE WE TRUST!!!!

See, Donnie gets it. He says that if you play hard in NY, fans get behind you. It's not like we are cheering for Melo when we are winning. He also says these young guys better get used to it, we are in new york, that's how it is.

This is why no matter how hard everyone cries, there is nothing we can do. Until they are ready to actually negotiate for real, Donnie can only wait.

"• More to the point, with every passing day, hope swells among Nuggets officials that they will be comfortable keeping Anthony for the rest of the season and dealing with trade possibilities then. Anthony’s recent 50-point game, and Denver’s thrilling, last-second victory over Dallas Thursday night –- with Arron Afflalo doing his best Melo impression with a buzzer-beater –- have done nothing to diminish those hopes. “They don’t want to trade him,” said a person familiar with the Nuggets’ strategy, explaining why Denver has engaged so many teams and gotten close before stopping short of closing the deal each time. “I don’t think they’re walking boldly into this transition. It’s more like walking the plank.” "

Kroenke is delusional.

There getting trolled hard if there taking Melo's recent comments about maybe resigning seriously. What that really mean was "Walsh get me now". I can't believe after 6 months there still hesistant on trading him. What a joke.

The knicks are a flawed team, and have been for awhile its the Gm's responsibility to fix those flaws. They threw away two season to get under the cap gave away talent Crawford, Zbo, Jefferies, Hill etc selling us on summer of 2010 and the chance to get impact players. There is an impact player who want to come to your team and u procrastinate? why? Remember before we trade Zac and Crawford we had a winning record that season so there is some mix messages here, dont overplay your hand

he's a business man. getting amare was very good for business but if the knicks start to lose, that will all go away. getting melo will reinvigorate everything that was built up this year. no way he doesn't make that happen.

At this point you need to trade everything for Melo if you have to. This organization is hopeless. At least a Melo-Amare tandem will ensure we will be a mid-seed with the potential to get out of the first round for the next few years, which is better than what we have now if nobody wants to be patient.

Felton, Chandler, Gallo, Fields, AR for Billups, Melo, whatever bad contracts Denver needs to dump. Whatever.

isn't there some discussion in the new cba about allowing trades that don't match dollar for dollar. if this is true the knicks have nothing to worry about who'll they give up. we'll be collecting every talented but overpaid player in the league to join melo & amare.
