Me too. He was huffing and puffing in that 3rd round. Credit to Marvin and his corner? "Marvin"? Is a Jewish-Italian?

Anyhow, I think Marvin's best attribute is his chin. Jack hit him with some nice shots and they seemed to have little effect.

Not taking anything away from Charles Oliviera, who I love and has elevated his game, but Tony looks done. He had nothing.

oh yea, i think the beating he got from justin plays a huge role. its hard to get that spirit back when you got beatdown like that.

And charles really stepped it up the last couple fights. he is not a #7 right now.

BUT if anybody is crazy enough to bounce back, its tony. i would give him another "gatekeeping" fight maybe against someone like makhachev. If he loses that and has 3 Ls in a row, then you have to consider the path moving forward and what its best for you.

but he was outmatched tonight for sure

I’d like to see Tony take a good 6-8 months off to heal. He may just have to this time due to the arm injury.

Wow fam, what a fantastic night of fights. I kinda was avoidant with this card because a) it had gone through a TON of changes and b) I knew some of my favorite guys were on the verge of going down, but at least they went out tough.

Holland is just a fun dude to watch, I'd give him FotY for winning more times in one year than anyone else and going from barely in the UFC to ranked...finishing on a KO of a legendary grappler from full guard...insane.

I actually thought Moicano looked solid but Fiziev is really good. Same with pineda and Cub. Always nice to see Cub come up big.

Charles Oliveira is on a tear. The way he just ran through Lee and Ferguson back to back is absolutely crazy. I still want to see what happens with a sharper striker than can force him onto his back foot but this dude is just now hitting his fight prime 10 years deep in the UFC.

Moreno's heart and style is just impossible to hate on. I thought he mighta got away with one on that draw, but the low blow changed the whole momentum of that round so maybe not. Figuieredo showed grit and heart too, but I'm still nervous about him running into anyone that can get him down consistently. Moreno isn't the cream of the wrestling crop after all. But the champ has room to grow, insane power and a great chin. Talk about a fun division and the UFC has done everything to ruin in. Mighty Mouse is at One, Horiguchi is with Rizin and even interesting guys like Pettis and Formiga are no longer in the UFC. It's frustrating.

Is Tony done?

Also, big news on the UFC legal front. Its fighters have been granted class action status by the court. Because there are treble damages in anti-trust cases, the UFC's exposure here is reported as being estimated at around $5 billion. This going to be huge. I wonder if Dana will take the company to the UAE? lol

Tony definitely was off even before Do-Bronx started cooking. But I'd wait and see. I wish the guy would take a nice break but I also don't think that's his personality at all. He'll wanna get back at it quickly, probably blames the last lay off partially for his dip. I think this looks like a decline but fighters have rebounded plenty, so wait and see.

Honestly, I've had hopes up for the fighters and their pay in the past. It always falls through though. I'm hoping this one works out. The pay split always bugged me out because I've seen other sports negotiate and strike. I do wonder if concerns about this are partially behind the UFC getting 60 cuts ready. Other leagues are struggling too right now but we could see some new exciting divisions form in places like Bellator and One.

Bellator just signed Rumble Johnson and Yoel Romero, both to fight at 205. They're joining Vadim Nemkov, Ryan Bader, Corey Anderson, Phil Davis and a few others that make it a pretty competitive division. Their lighter weight tournaments have shown that they've got some talent too.

We're also getting Rizin back at the end of the year. Kyoji Horiguchi tries to avenge his only mma loss in the past 5 years against Kai Asakura. Horiguchi is my dude at 125 and actually had both the Rizin and Bellator 135 lbs belts before tearing his acl. I don't even think he's big enough for 135 really, he's just that good.

I know what you’re saying about Tony. Dude probably wants to fight again in a couple of months.
