I haven't seen much of Tyson Chandler in his limited minutes this year, but has he gotten as slow as the game makes him look? Very Boban-like.

One thing about the game detail though, is that sim-Grayson Allen stills gives me the urge to slap the **** of him for no reason in particular.

Hahahaha. It’s a close game though.

Just found out 2K won’t allow audio due to copyright.

Three years ago we did a league-wide auction draft. Each team had $1000 to spend and it's a hard cap league. Maximum then was 5 year deals. Since then, we've made trades, drafted, and gone through free agency as our initial contracts expire. All must be done within cap constraints. The teams are run through a simulation program so we have a full length season and playoffs. We have a commissioner (Bishnykfan) who does not have a team and runs all the transactions and simulation software because... I mean God bless him who knows.

There is no real money involved. We do it because we're insane. But it's sooooooo much fun and really has helped me think about the league and its players differently. Want to get on the waitlist? :D

It really is. I was actually thinking of sending a recruiting PM to you in the Around thread the other day as posters that can think the league outside of their home team typically start ahead. Body bag? Yes, it takes a minute to figure out but so far we've had commitment to the long haul so there's room to grow. I drafted a team for growth potential when I started because I didn't want to immediately compete with players that had done BATs for years (I had never done one). If you get a team, you can move into it at your own pace despite what GMs dropping PMs might have you believe.

Activity is important (we are a community and like to talk sh*t to each other  ), but as long as you know the game and understand NBA value in trades (draft pick value, bad contract value) you should do well. You should be a nice addition if a spot opens up. Don't need to have prior experience like some of us vets do.

I can kind of understand what he's going for if you look at it from the perspective of someone who's only on RGM for BaF, and not a frequent poster. Dude just wants his team to be as good as possible, and doesn't want to tank because of the commitment to the game that requires. He's more of a casual player, where we're a bunch of hardcore guys who are on every day scrutinizing every move, which would explain the pms being left for months, because he likely only logs in that often. To be fair, you can say that's not good team building, cause it's pretty much what the Knicks have done for decades, but it's not egregiously bad to the point where calling him a burner is warranted, especially because, as Cap pointed out, he's someone SOUL knows in real life, so that likely means accusing SOUL of being in on it

Now, if you want to argue that someone with that level of commitment shouldn't be in the game, that's a different argument and one you could make the case for, but I think some people are going overboard with the accusations.

Hallmark of wanting your team to be as good as possible is trading John Wall for Mike Conley

Image

Well, Conley does make half as much as Wall, plus if you don't know how the sim treats injured players, you'd assume Wall's ratings are gonna plummet from being out for a year.

He also got two mid firsts and Elfrid "sim god" Payton plus he probably overvalues Bamba who he got in the deal as well, and he got Conley for basically nothing in a separate trade

I'm just saying, just because you wouldn't make that move doesn't mean he doesn't think it makes sense. I'm not even saying it's a good move, just I can understand why he thinks it is.

Image

Yeah you pro-bono lawyers need to give it a rest, he traded for Conley whose real life stats hit rock bottom this season because he was worried John Wall's rating might plummet...

I like the idea of it and I might even like the idea of sh*t talking even more  So are there 30 teams in this? Would have to imagine this could help lead to even further player biases which I’m all here for lol

all I know is if he just auctioned off the 2021 BOS 1st round pick to the highest bidder and didn't attach that to Wall's contract he would have gotten some god like offers for that pick...but thats assuming he knew the value of that pick. Which I guess is my issue in the first place for people with low/zero activity.

we run it just like the real NBA. 30 teams...15 roster spots (even an exempt list) where you can technically put G-league players that aren't on NBA rosters.

The SIM relatively aligns with real world results...it just takes a year or so for the SIM to catch up to players development. Like Tatum and Doncic weren't sim beasts this year but they will be next year. So building a team that would do well in the real NBA usually is a strong starting point for team building in the SIM.

Also in the SIM just like the real NBA we have our contenders, our playoff teams, and our rebuilding teams. You can kinda pick your own direction which is cool. Just have to manage the cap and your assets.

He traded Wall a month before getting Conley. You're making it seem like he traded one for the other

He probably didn't even factor Conley into the decision to trade Wall, just saw a way to get something for a terrible contract in Wall, then Conley who he might like for dirt cheap a month later

I don't know why you're so intent on attacking the guy. Just cause you don't agree with his moves doesn't make him a burner account, and it's not like real life GMs never make bad decisions they think are good.
