OKC has waves of talented young players on their SL team....it's like half of their regular season roster out there.
Dieng looking pretty good and as soon as Duren looks good in his SL play Knicks fans will be howling for Leon's head.

Get the kid down to 250-260 and he could be something, there's a lot of actual basketball skill in that big body.
Okay, NDOS, is that moniker about your abstinence or intellect? HAHAHA! Have a great summer like ur posts!

Eh? He's shooting 6 for 24 so far over two games. Didn't get a chance to see them play tonight but he definitely didn't look like a lottery pick last night

Ah...I see, shooting numbers on a small sample size, quality analysis.
To be fair he missed a bunny, the putback and bricked a 3 in the one I saw but he's moving well out there on both ends of the court, just missing shots.

I'll go with shooting numbers for analysis over a kid "moving well." Ron Baker must've really wowed you too

Don't worry. We have some 18 year old future bust and some 19 year Duke fat guy, so Knicks future is good.

Yea, he moved real well on both ends of the court, court awareness, understanding where to be, reaction to the play... much better than a few shots. I'm not into empty points losing players but whatever gets you wet.

The door seems closed,
but we should really just go allin on Ayton tbh. I doubt we could match salaries to get him onto the team, but if we're paying Mitch 15m, Ayton is worth 30m.
I think the NBA could be in a really bad spot if it comes out and "we wanted to pay Ayton 30m but couldn't get a sign and trade done". has that ever happened to a UFA?

Its summer league, a lottery pick should be able to get a few buckets.
Kid is a project. The appeal was that he's a lengthy playmaker, but the chances of him every being utilized as a ballhandler on that team are slim - SGA, Giddey, Tre Mann, and now Jalen Williams (who looks legit). His shooting needs to improve quickly

Not understanding why RJ should be untouchable. He's not on pace to become a superstar. We know this because this is the year players from his draft class are eligible for extensions and he hasn't been offered a max yet. We also have the eye test. That said, it's clear through recent trades that a boatload of draft picks is the preference, so if they load up on those we should be able to keep RJ and Obi, the young players with the best chance of becoming stars. We'll need one of them to do that so that we can have a decent core and chance to contend.
What is your definition of superstar? Top 5? top 15? RJ has Pierce-like potential, he is on the right trajectory. If you call that star, not superstar I am with you. He does not have T-Mac, LeBron etc in him for sure.
Superstar vs star can be arbitrary, and I'm not sure why Pierce was the example you used, but imo, players who are on the superstar track you know by the offseason after their third year. That's why extensions are eligible then. If you really believe RJ is on a superstar track then you have to max him. I wouldn't even call him a star at this point. Terminology and verbiage doesn't have to be minced into its smallest form to get that point across.
Fine with that. I will clarify what I mean. RJ has the makings of a multi-year all-star. Would max him and not think twice.

All I said was he's 'pretty good'... not amazing or great, not even good, just pretty good. What's your effing problem do you wack off to internet arguments or base your self identity from being 'right on the internet' or something?
