ANNOUNCEMENT

Any players that were on active rosters who were not in the sim have been moved to that teams exempt list. There were 15 total players this year who didn't make it into the sim. Each team who had one or more of these players has been notified. There were also a handful of players who were no longer eligible for the EL. These players have been activated and their teams have been notified. There are also a few players who are currently on a teams EL who could be activated since they are in the sim. If you have a player on your EL who you may want to activate, just let me know and I will inform you whether or not that player is in the sim this year.

The FA page has been updated. The sim cut down on players this year and the free agent page went from about 375 players to about 230 or so. Anyone on that FA list is available in the sim.

We currently have one team with an illegal roster (Phoenix). DerrickNoah was informed of this via PM, hopefully he corrects the issue today.

I have one more move in my inbox that I am awaiting a confirmation on and then all transactions will be updated. Once I get that move posted, I will try and upload the latest rosters for any teams that have made a move in the last couple of days so each team has their opening night roster on their team page.

Please start getting in your rotations/minutes/coaching strategies. If you don't get them in by Noon tomorrow there is no guarantee that you will get to play opening night with your rotation. It will be easier for me if you can get them in the night before though. A sample of how rotations/minutes should look is in the last announcement on page 42. Different coaching strategies can also be found in the "Rules" section in the main BaF stickied thread

Any last minute questions, let me know...otherwise, good luck to all teams. Tipoff for opening night is about 30 hours away.

EDIT- Forgot to mention that the default coaching strategies are:

OFFENSE- Balanced
DEFENSE- Straight

Every time I think I figure out the defensive metric or think I know which players will get good ratings a rating like this throws me off.

I can't figure it out either. I thought for sure Okoro ( 67 ), Hunter ( ( 63 ), and Miakal ( 64 ) would be 70 or above; but it was not to be.

Okoro and Hunter I didn't expect to have high defensive ratings the metrics I use rated them pretty mediocre. I think they landed ok maybe hunter could have been in higher 60's.

Mikal should have been +70's for sure...especially with him finsihing 1st team all NBA defense. Something should be weighed for him always guarding the oppositions best wing player.

He has a 100 DEF rating though

yeah and Mikal has a 100 FGI and Harris is a sniper...I think Buzz's offense might be much better then he thought, outside of Dray though I think the defense is a little underwhelming from a SIM perspective.

Also I peeped OO...he has the potential to be a SIM beast for Buzz...

My bench group has a lot of scoring now. Cole Anthony, Tim Hardaway Jr, Kevin Huerter, and Keegan Murray.

My defense is worse than last year but my offense is miles better.

Still in the market to consolidate some pieces if anyone is looking to sell. Have a lot of cap space to work with too. Would really love some more defense…

I tried quite a few times last season to acquire Bradley from BR7. He hasn't been great IRL, but he performed well in the SIM and had some decent ratings. One year deal, so low risk.

Tony Bradley last BaF Season with the Bucks:
Top 5 in FG percentage- .573%,
98 FGI, 82 DEF

As excited as I am for BaF games to begin, I'm kinda glad we have the day off on opening day. Gives me a chance to "watch film" on the Clippers.

I think this is the first year when both of our teams project to be good for this inaugural matchup. Clippers were bad the first two years and then you were rebuilding.
