Do Brunson and Mitchell even compliment each other anymore?

Brunson is averaging 26 ppg on 19+ fga/g
Mitchell is averaging 28 ppg on 21+ fga/g

They're the same age and Brunson now is competing to have a better legacy. Brunson has beaten Mitchell in the playoffs TWICE.

If Mitchell comes to the Knicks, is he gonna expect Brunson to defer to him?

This is Brunson's team now. I don't see Mitchell giving up half of his shot attempts and focusing on defense.

It's not just about deferring, create an environment where JB can take a night off and reduce his workload so he's fresh come playoff time. Anyway RJ takes about 16 shots a game, it's not hard to find a few more for Mitchell

Does Brunson even want to reduce his workload? He probably wants to be in the MVP conversation and prove to his haters that size doesn't matter!

No, why would I? I can watch players myself, so that’s what I do. Poeltl is quite a smart player. He doesn’t force things that aren’t there.

I feel you man. I've been telling these fools... JORDAN POOLE.

All these guys, all they do is watch Shaqtin a Fool and looking at the stat sheet and reading the Wizards forum and crap like that.

Nah man. EYE test. Jordan POOLE.

Poole is definitely talented and he’ll learn to handle his role. I think he’ll remain one of the worst defenders in the league though. Very talented, but we couldn’t use him here.

Let’s see if KD, Spida or Booker become available at the trade deadline.

The Knicks could really use a guy like Olynyk but knowing Ainge he'd ask for an unprotected 1st and young player from the Knicks but then turn around and gift him to the Celtics for a couple of 2nds and filler.

Some guys are all about the team game especially if its the right environment. Mitchell has been quite vocal on wanting to play here.

I think he'd be a great fit.

No way... they are going to ride KD and Booker until contract close to expiring. New billionaire owner doens't give a sh.it and besides he gave up depth and draft capital for KD and Beal.

Not super likely but its a smaller possibiliy but they could believe with all their firepower a cheaper cost effective player like Barrett and/or IQ + may be a better fit for their squad. In terms of depth and complementary scoring...

Rumor has it that Detroit is looking to add veterans?! That's insane... they got a couple of vets that a lot of teams would like to have... just keep building draft capital.

Because the situation there isn’t making Cade Cunningham a better player. It’s actually stunting his growth. Same for Ivey. What they really need more than anything is a veteran PG who can be a coach on the floor. I don’t know who the Pistons are considering trading or what the solution is there. Do they even have a game plan moving forward?

Murry is an ideal backcourt pairing with Brunson
He gives us defense, length, 6 handling, and he is athletic.

If you can nab Murry and OG.

Brunson
Murry
OG
Randle

That's what I'm saying!

Why does anyone think Phoenix would trade KD or Booker at this point??? Those guys sell tickets. They're not going anywhere.

Murray might have some legs. They clearly are going to want a package of draft picks, the Knicks can give them a package.

Fournier fits the trade space, needed for Murray.

Also as much as I hate to say it Grimes because of his recent struggles or IQ because of his salary demands are viable options to send out in a trade. Hey could also move one of Hart or DDV too.

The only real roadblock is Murray is Klutch and they a have a vendetta against the Knicks because of their close CAA ties.

They can demand a trade. Especially KD who is a diva. You do not want to start a beef with KD. He is old and if is locked for the season, he will lose trade value.

"You do not want to start a beef with KD" Seriously? So he's now Big Bad LeRoy Brown? I can see the billionaires running for cover (in a South Park adaptation).

It's his team"s loss. He is an old HOF player. He will just sit and collect the checks if he is not happy. What would the Suns do? Do they let his trade value go further down and refuse to trade him? Do they refuse to pay him and ask for help from the league to make him play?
