This new CBA that everyone around here hates... might be a big reason why NYK wins a title in the next five years (if they do)... just think about it...

Having many 2nds is good to trade up like we did for Kolec. Thats all it’s good for.

Actually, with the new CBA cap rules second round picks are valuable because teams can eat up roster spots with less than vetmin contracts because 2nd round contracts are so small. If they use a couple of 2nd round picks in a given year to take up roster spots they can save like $5mil off the cap so get under aprons and stuff like that.
