If the reports of the meetings and conference call was true, tampering should be out the door. Can't tamper with a player we have been given permission to speak with? Right?

You probably still can yes. You are allowed to speak with him but it doesn't mean it's a free-for-all. It's a limited right to talk to him but doesn't mean he's suddenly open game.

Seems like Nuggets are just fake hustling meeting with the Knicks. They are gonna continue to ask for the entire farm and say to Melo "well we tried to trade you to the Knicks but they aren't interested" so can you agree to an extension with the Nets so we can trade you for Draft picks and Stromile Swift

This is encouraging because it means that they are talking on both Thursday and Friday. That's got to be a good sign. If they talked yesterday and it was a non-starter no reason to talk today.

But if their asking price is "monumental" as Hahn is saying, then that's a problem.

I don't know...... I'm OK if no deal happens and we just continue our re-build with our young core and cap space.

I'm also OK if we get Melo in a trade as long as Fields stays. I love Gallo and Chandler but so far in their young careers they have shown a lot of inconsistency and it bothers me. Fields never slumps, he really does it all but doesn't have the hype of Gallo/Chandler.

I'll only be upset if Fields is not with our team going forward. Any other combinations I trust Walsh 100%
