We would play him and you would deal. He's still productive and well loved by his teammates.

Run him all of his money and let him go.
It's out of Dolan's pocket anyway.

The way some of you are overwhelmed in hatred for Melo makes me think some would wish he got injured or even death upon him.

Oh wait that already happened.

I'm saying what Melo should do to regain the power in the negotiation. I want us to trade him so this is not about being pro Melo.

But anything not crapping on him is riding hard for him right?

Stupid observation.

So you're hoping Melo pulls the petty card and wait for someone to blink, just so he looks like the angel in the end. But how the heck is that helping anyone in this situation?! it's obvious more than ever these two parties need to part ways. Knicks are rebuilding, Melo is getting older. No need for pettiness. Just move on. Simple.

If I was Melo I'm doing that egomaniac no favors. He chose to make it a spectacle instead of keeping it in house.

I want him to be traded. I hope we could get something that would help the rebuild down the line after PJax cashes his last check.

Best for both parties.

yeah. FOH with all that. if i don't want to be traded, you all can eat a dicc sandwich. and if you want me gone, give me my snaps and i'll sign where i want.

unless carmelo sees advantage to being traded (trade kicker), then he should stand firm.

but people talking like money is everything. if it were, he'd push for a trade.

He would want the trade kicker.

If I was Melo I would tell Phil to serve me my damn cake...all of it.

The only way he gets the trade kicker is if he gets traded, so I guess he plans on leaving some money on the table so he has a preference on where he plays.

the real truth is this hardly about melo. a lot of you hate athletes really. you hate their money, their fame, and what you perceive as an easier life than yours. and you're ultra critical of everything they do. someone likes to drink and smoke weed and they're a worthless thug. someone likes money, because that's so rare, and they're selfish. a 21 year old kid misses a meeting and now you're mad at him. you want them punished whenever the slightest infraction occurs. the truth is....u mad......yeah.....u mad.

We paid up the last part of the trade with the Jamal Murray pick. So yea, we've been paying that trade for 6 years.

if we buyout melo, he wins. he depleted our assets whether it was his intentions or not. it always seems that carmelo wants to play that he's a victim in all of this.

How we forget we depleted our assets to get him. On top of that his playing style didn't mesh with the head coach we were paying millions to restore the Knicks to greatness. The same Coach that just won Coach of the year...same coach we use to Mock the Knicks organization. Melo wanted him gone as well, we chose Melo over Antoni, and have always given Melo his way. Enough is enough
No more caving as an organization to Melo's tantrums. He wants out ?? someone has to trade him out

That pick was never supposed to be that high.

Late teens, early twenties at least...but the Knicks can't build rosters.

They don't.

What happened to all the addition by subtraction posts? Now when you can get it you're complaining?

Brilliant.

Its not gonna require much for the Knicks to trade Anthony to Cleveland but as currently construed they have one tradeable asset (Love) and a bunch of dead contracts (Shumpert, Frye, RJ).
Now if they could trade Love for those assets, then they could keep those assets and attach one to Shumpert Frye to make a deal with the Knicks.
Something like.. Love to Denver for Wilson Chandler, Faried, Mudiay, 2018 1st

Then trade Shumpert Frye and 2018 1st for Melo.

Melo wins either way.

I guess, Phil can try to trun everyone against Melo, if he goes out and delivers some amazing quality speech about Melo hurting the team blablabla.. so we are gonna sit him, and somehow everyone accepts it, and Melo at least makes his team-wishlist bigger.

But right now, he is not getting good return.

Trade him for garbage, buy him out, let him stay and do nothing - Melo wins.
