You and me both. Wanted him badly with our 2nd round pick. Can't believe they decided to just punt the draft like that. Leon Hosed.

You wasn't the only one. I kept preaching to Melo who thought he was a bum last year that Kentucky Guards are usually ALWAYS better in the NBA. Never focus on what they look like in college. I even was talking about him at the back of the first round. That how much I thought he was such a talent to snatch up.

was pretty shocked they didn't draft him. it was known he was a project but in the late 2nd round, I would've taken the chance on a five star recruit who underperformed in a weird, covid year. couldn't have been easy for freshman last yr

maybe Cal didn't think highly of him and relayed that to Leon and WWW

Cal ALWAYS thinks highly of his players. He would never talk down about them. This is just an example of how we suck at evaluations. The Knicks under thibs have only truly shown interest in upper class men. Its like he hates freshmen. Same reason why he wanted Dunn. SMH.

I know he always talks his players up to the media. really wanted Monk as a Knick and compared Knox to Tatum

but behind closed doors maybe he said something else :dontknow:

seemed odd to me since it would've been such a low-risk upside play. maybe it could be the Thibs effect. we haven't taken a college freshman since he's been hired

he wouldn't say this and then snake the dude. Best believe its Thibs all day.

“My advice to @NBA teams this year: Don't pass on @bboston_,” Calipari tweeted in a thread. “I've said this before about other players and I don't think I've been wrong. He is the guy teams will regret passing on if they don't select him. He is going to have a great pro career.

“I feel bad for all of our kids being cheated out of last summer but @bboston_ probably suffered more than anyone else. The opportunity that we've had this summer for our kids to be coached and experience what @KentuckyMBB is all about would have made such a difference for BJ.

“And I'm not making excuses but when @bboston_ broke his finger, it set him back three or four months. He is really going to benefit by the consistent work he's been able to put in the last few months.”

yeah, then probably Thibs not wanting any teenagers on his team

I agree w/ Cal, Boston was oozing w/ talent and it could not have been easy being a freshman during a covid season

Blazers put up a decent fight against the Warriors even without their starting star backcourt.

Mook cold blooded. I recall him busting our tank in some games back in that 2019-2020 season.
