Yeah, his 3 point shooting and shot creation would have be huge for us.

BUT MIKAL INTERCEPTED A PASS THAT TIME!

We were never getting Bane at that time. I would’ve wanted him too and obviously he’s better than Bridges, but this isn’t the point. Memphis is giving up on Morant, that’s a new situation. All this shows as far as the Knicks are concerned is that we didn’t overpay. Teams will include many picks and re-acquire them when they start rebuilding. The trade for Mikal was never bad or a big deal.

We haven't even started paying it off and were supposed to get over it. He is also due for a huge extension. How about he fix his broke form and we might ease up a bit.

Mikal isnt tradh. He is a solid player. Some of us are hard on him cause the capital that was used to aquire him drastically hurt our flexibility. And its hard not to get a lil upset about the deal when we see a better player traded for less. Especially when its a player who fits our team needs more than mikal.

Wait, so we’re gunna keep hearing complaints until 2031? It’s been 12 months of nonstop b*tching, back pedaling, then b*tching again… maybe just give the benefit of the doubt that the coach used him horribly wrong and wait n see what happens this year?

Especially after he came up huge in an incredibly tight series vs Detroit, and a huge series vs the defending champs by taking melo’s fav player’s lunch money lol. Jus sayin

Also, Bane is not significantly better than Mikal… and that package wasn’t less than what we gave up. We got Mikal on two years of half Bane’s salary too..

Oh, im sure ill get banned by then but best believe if im still around in 2041 ill still complain about mikals fcking up his form and fear of contact. And compare every blockbuster pick trade from now until the end of time to his.

The brand is strong. 8-)

To your point I dont "hate" mikal and think he is a nice player. We just disagree on fully blaming thibs for his flaws. And I also don't love how acquiring him used all our resources.

Orlando saw that the east was wide open. It’s a great move for them. Much needed shooting and shot creation for them.

Considering the Knicks will be in the Play In next year, solid move indeed.

Unless of course we win a chip :D

Don't forget to post the stats of every player drafted with each pick the Knicks gave up, track those other careers.

This is the RealGM Knicks way.

Bane is at best the third best player on a title team. Let’s relax.

When Cafe Au Lait Fournier disappoints as the 4th option who cost 5 picks, let's not. :D

Mikal probably Cafe Au Lait Fournier With Pumpkin Spice, because that would be more annoying.

He has the T-Rex arms.

Wasn't there another player in the last 20 years that people called T-Rex arms?

Or has it always been Bane?

Strong disagree on both bane is significantly better and was traded for less.

Cole Anthony is a decent player. Knicks gave up no players in the bridges deal. Just a washed bogs. I suppose if you count KCP as a hugely negative asset due to his contract then it's debatable.

There's no way they move off Wagner for KD.

There’s plenty more fish in the sea. I wouldn’t be surprised if they really shocked the NBA with another move.

With Wagner they have maybe 10 more years of roughly all star level play. Durant might be better this year and then it's downhill. That'd be insane. Their stats are already close. .

I have to admire the courage of the Magic to make a trade of this magnitude when their current core guys have not made it out of the first round yet.

They missed Jalen Suggs and Franz shot 19% from three on almost 8 attempts per game

Their roster is still very imbalanced. Franz and Banchero lead the team in assists. Without real point guards, they won't be much improved from last season.

I remember seeing them live in Orlando against the Knicks.

The Magic worked their butts off and Suggs defended Brunson full court as hard as anyone could. The talent disparity heavily favored the Knicks.
