dolan didn't invent the hype, he's just capitalizing on it. i doubt he's personally involved in these decisions anyway, it's the knicks marketing department. people have been asking for lin merchandise all around town. of course they're going to make shirts and stuff.

This kid has the mental make-up to handle this and most importantly the belief in the creator.

Lin is being to forced to do some meet and greet for fans though. As if he isn't tired enough. Hopefully it won't take too much time/energy.

Tim Tebow was the most talked about man in America for the whole season

He handled it pretty well

Dan better put Lin under his wing and protect him. Lin did save his job, plus Dan looks really happy with lin running the show.

MDA on show

http://espn.go.com/espnradio/newyork/play

They talked about Lin a lot. First they asked if he was a fluke, which MDA most definitely didn't think he was and that he thinks he has the opportunity to become a really good point guard, his shot just needs improvement. Then Kay asked about the delay of Lin's outbreak, which MDA thought was because of his efforts to develop chemistry, with little room for error and getting TD going at the PG spot. Also the lack of practice time - Lin had to be on the sidelines at practice cuz of said chemistry problems needed to obviously fixed.

Novak no playing time because of the matter of distributing being a problem, fixed now.

He basically said that Lin could very well be the piece they needed to fill the PG spot, and that it greatly improves the team, since it's tough for any team to succeed without good PG play. And that it's just a matter of guys coming together.

One thing I liked the most was that he repeatedly pointed out that all guys are on the same page and that all guys wants to win badly.

And then he hinted at Melo being the one to adapt to the team's play when he comes back, talking about Melo playing point forward in the stretches with Lin out of the game.

that's at least at the top of my high head right now.

- When asked if Lin can keep this up, said probably not the 28 and 10, almost no one can do that. Can he continue to play an important and meaningful role on the team? Absolutely.

- Going to have to find a happy medium between the up tempo play and Melo's isolation. Offense will probably run through Melo more often when Lin is taking a breather. Still plans to play Lin 35-40 minutes a night.

- Guys are in the right places with Lin on the floor. Novak can plan now that Lin can create the shot. Before Lin, "He wasn't going to get out there for his defensive prowess." Also commented on missing Tyson being open 15 times one game B.L.

- Was told Baron was looking good on the court the other day, not sure when he'll be back, but just another guy to help this team later on.

- "Are you suffering from 'Linsanity'?"
"I might be benefiting from it, but not suffering."

"Has Lin saved the season?"
"Might not be all he saved."

- Not concerned about his job security and wasn't letting it affect the staff. "You can only die once."

I'll credit D'Antoni for being honest about what Lin has done for him.

Not really, Lin stated in the past, he play basketball for no one but for God. (if u dig up his earlier interview back in 2010). That's what gave him the confidence, and fearlessness he shown on the court. Who wouldn't be shatter and frighten with all these pressure going against Kobe with this much burden and hype. He not afraid of the Lakers or no one because of his faith and determination. He's an inspiration.

But I still think the Knick gonna lose, cause Kobe is gonna be "try hard" mode tonight. And they have 2 real good shot blocker

I'd think Lin would be able to handle it as his whole life he's been fighting against prejudices and disappointments. If he was weak mentally he would have quit basketball a long time ago with all the "Asians can't ball" stereotype, especially considering he has a Harvard econ degree and easily could have joined Goldman Sachs and make 6 figures on Wall Street.

Lin is not like Lebron who everyone has been riding his nuts since high school, Lebron has never faced adversity and you can see how bad he's handled it. Lin has grown up with it and learned how to handle and overcome it.

Anybody else realize Lin either scored or assisted on the first 16 points of the game? Knicks 16 - Lakers 8.

The Knicks have been on NBA TV Canada for 4 straight games and I've caught much of their action; I'm liking Lin and I'm liking the Knicks. I hate Amar'e and Melo, but Lin's been fun.

I'm still not convinced he can score (though he's doing it again tonight), but he should easily be able to settle into a role and be an effective starter here. Settle in and take good shots/make good decisions, run the PnR, play solid D... he can do that. And it's imperative that your PG does that. Breath of fresh air for the team and a nice story for the whole NBA.

Lin is killing it repeatedly as I type. :eek1:
