The contract isn't overpaying, based on Lin's performance. I do think it's bad that Lin allowed the Rockets to structure it in a way that so hostile to the Knicks. But saying he doesn't deserve $8 million per year is just wrong.

Yeah it's not bad as an average. I hate this rule too -- it's pointless and dumb. But the poison pill thing goes way back.

The NBA clearly does not have a very clear or sensible CBA. It's random. So we're getting killed by something random.
