Both are good players but if you think Timelord or Capella are guarding Randle at the 3 point line effectively I don't believe that for one second. Both of them are rim protectors. They aren't guarding randle on the perimeter. Just like Randle has destroyed ATL every game and Capella hasn't stopped him...he wont stop him in the playoffs either.

Randle is scoring outside, in the paint and at the rim. It is hard to overcommit at range as he'll go by you and if that brings double and triple team coverage to meet him in the paint he still has the ability to get by them, step back and pop which has been money or pass. Randle has become disruptive

yeah the only guy that has really given Randle trouble this year is Bam.

I'd say Giannis gave him trouble too

Him and Bam are really the only guys mobile enough to keep up with Randle on the perimeter, and big enough not to get overpowered on the interior.

yeah the last game Giannis gave him trouble and is one of the best defenders in the sport. But Randle if I remember correctly dropped a a near 30 pt triple double in our blowout game earlier in the year.

But yes the two teams that would matchup to best stop Randle would be Miami and Milwaukee because they have guys that have size, strength and mobile enough.

The only injury that KD had was being unmotivated to play meaningless regular season games.

The guy is doing everything he can to turn the playoffs into meaningless as well with all them super teams so retirement suits him best.

Miles Bridges as a starter

18.1 PPG 7.1 RPG on 52/44/79 splits

Steve Mills thought Knox was better though

The Suns are a legitimate title contender because of him, this is virtually the same roster as last year but with him instead of Rubio.

true, but they were trending in the right direction last year. 8-0 in the bubble !
he is great, but no mvp candidate imo

If paying this haul for Lillard would be the condition to get Kawhi, I would pay it gladly. Anyway, I don't think it's possible to open cap space to get Lillard's 44M salary + Leonard's 39M salary, retaining Randle+RJ+Mitch 30M salary.

what do you mean with haul? the 10-12th players in our rotation, the 21st + 22nd pick and two first when we are a absolut powerhouse?

I have no doubt he's talented enough to put up those numbers in a losing situation where he gets the playing time and the touches.

My question is will he ever be able to play the 5 alongside Julius, even in offense-heavy line-ups that manage to survive defensively?

Obi's shown flashes of rim protection, but he still needs to improve his defensive awareness. I've noticed he struggles with cross-matches, and he looks lost at times when the Knicks need to switch. But the encouraging sign is that he's improving on defense and Thibs and the coaching staff are doing a solid good job teaching him the fundamentals.

If Obi can turn into Miles Bridges, then he was a damn good pick at #8. I hope that turns out to be the case.
