Agree. She'll be good again. The question is whether that core breaks into the top of the East, which is VERY contentious.

I had the Mavs who I think could be as high as 2 out west but it really depends on how they view Randle and Murphy III.

Size might be an issue for bulls especially if Ayton goes down or fouls out but other than that I got her top 5 in East.

Top 3 most likely pistons, hornets and raptors

It was the question that was one of the toughest for me. I narrowed it down to a few eastern conference teams because I think that league has so much quality teams now that someone is going to underperform there talent level.

I also never have figured out the randomness of injuries. I typically think (just have CP3) that old players have a lower endurance rating. Not sure how that impacts recovery or injury if that is just impacts the game and quality of minutes depending on how much they play. So I see older players like LeBron and Kawhi and not sure if Ayton will still be as good but no doubt if health is there the trio of Lebron/Kawhi/Garland will be a tough out in the playoffs. If HS is a 4/5 seed not an ideal matchup to the top seeds in round 2.

Another team I was considering was Brooklyn. Is this the first year where embiid finally takes a SIM hit? If so they might be difficult to predict even though KD is a monster year and year out but they also lost Brunson and didn't really find a suitable replacement.

I also might have considered your team as well. I think you have one of the best offenses but the defense probably is a bit suspect. if Jabari lands a good defensive rating then that mitigates that a bit.

NY and Philly weren't even competitive teams last year and I think they improved significantly..so that is two non playoff teams that will make a run for the playoffs IMO as well. East is just tough so I had to pick that question from that conference.

lol MPH I be forgetting myself because he just seems like one of the older guys but Kawhi is still 3-4 years younger than Curry, Durant and those guys.

Kawhi does seem like he's been in the league longer. But let's be fair he's always missing games like he's 40

HS, are you going to war with that group?

Pretty much with a few tweaks. I think ppl are underestimating the jump Garland may have.

I like your moves a LOT. And one of your moves will end up being genius longterm:

on edit HS:
Playing with Luka and Reeves under coach JJ is going bring the best out of Ayton.
And being a Laker is just icing on the cake.
And you got him wrapped up at:
Deandre Ayton- $122/5 years - :o

Thanks Context. Ayton is having a sneaky good season, better than I thought actually. And I just see him improving once LeBron returns.

I LOVED your approach to the off-season. I'm not going into the details but it's panning out...
Ayton has new life...You can see it - his energy is 180. ANd yeah- I didnt mention Lebron because I think Bron could be traded.
Something is going on behind the scenes...maybe it gets resolved - maybe it doesn't.
I do agree- if Bron stays - he will help Ayton as well...

Yeah, it was a good fight for Ayton and I'm glad you WON.

Thanks to all who submitted rankings and contributed with commentary.

Spoiler:
3. Toronto Raptors (1/5)
What other GM's are saying about Toronto:

This teams reign of terror, akin to Spurs, is right around the corner but I am not sure if this will be their year yet, due to competition and lack of offense compared to some of those other high end teams. This is a generational defensive team though, definitely the best ever assembled both in NBA and BAF. But it comes at the cost of leaving this team a bit limited offensively which could be their obstacle in winning the title. But maybe this will prove to be the winning formula in sim

This is an absolutely unpenetrable defense but they’re just short of offensive prowess to match some of the other top teams. Of course, we know 2010 has more moves up his sleeve.

A frightening defense, and Wemby's year 3 leap on offense might be enough to push them over the top.
