Raw on 9/14 did a 2.42 rating and 3.39 million viewers (1.46 viewers per home). The numbers were almost identical to the previous week. It tied the non-holiday lowest since October 27, 1997 (which did a 2.3 but that was head-to-head with Nitro and Monday Night Football). Total viewers were up 20,000 from last week, making it the second lowest non-holiday number since 1997.

The 8 p.m. hour did 3.29 million viewers, the 9 p.m. hour did 3.54 million viewers and the 10 p.m. hour did 3.36 million viewers.

Smackdown on 9/10 drew a 1.54 rating and 2.04 million viewers (1.42 viewers per home), the second lowest non-holiday viewership since going on Syfy (in 2010 - my note), up slightly from the 1.42 rating and 1.98 million viewers the week before.

This is getting sad.

But not surprising to me. I love wwe, and will always will, but their shows are so damn boring at times. More specifically the story lines. I recently watched an old attitude era raw on the wwe network, the raw after the Rock joined the Corporation, and it was like a complete 180 to the show with the same name in 2015. The crowd was electric, their was an interesting storyline throughout the show with Mankind looking to get revenge on Vince, and they headline that show with Austin vs. The Rock where they hyped it throughout the show. Even simple things like a fight between Mankind and the Corporation members in some boiler room backstage is different and more creative than the same stuff we see on Raw. I honestly don't think that this current writing team or creative can come close to putting on a show like that now a days. It wasn't even a classic Raw during the attitude era, but put it in this era, it would probably be the best Raw of the year. The problem is that the creative team are not creative at all. The characters now a days are stale as ****. Cena is the same damn character for over a decade now, and he keeps winning world titles, yet the ratings have keep decreasing on average every year. Change him for god sakes, turn him heel, do something different with him besides giving him a new colored t-shirt. Orton is stale, The Authority is stale (opens 95% of Raw's and barely has anything interesting to say), Rollins is being booked like a crappy champion, Ryback sucks, Bellas sucks, Ambrose is underused, Cesaro is underused, Owens is underused, Bray is underused. Brock is the best thing they have and he barely shows up. New Day is the only thing that they are doing right to me.

Talent wise this era may not be as top heavy as the attitude era, but top to bottom they have more talent. Yet, the show isn't close to what they were in the late 90s because the story lines are terrible. It's a damn shame what the current writers did to one of my favorite shows I grew up watching. There is nothing "Raw" about Monday Night Raw anymore, it's stale, unimaginative, uninspired, lazy, and unoriginal.

Watched one old Raw and it made me piss off how damn bad the show has gotten. :banghead:

Lately the only thing that intertest me are Sasha Banks, Kevin Owens and New Day. Everything else sucks. I so wish I had the money to open a wrestling company. I don't think it would take much to beat WWE right now. Fans are begging for something different.

lmao. was hoping roman and ambrose beat his ass at the end  i figured they would lose when ambrose came out by himself.

we know where this is leading to. probably survivor series where they get the missing part and reform the shield. they going to have to keep losing until then.

Jericho's last 2 or 3 runs before this sucked. He sucks more than ever now. That was so lame.

seth vs hhh would be great. i think that gives even more reason for him to be back with the shield. he can go two matches like he is tonight. the authority will do him dirty and he'll go back with his family for revenge.

id rather see the shield back than the rock tbh. the rock would outshine the other two. id only like it if they still lose and roman goes off on the rock

A Shield reunion wouldn't last long. Probably beat the Wyatts then Roman turns on them to become the star he wants to be. Sides with Triple H to spite the Rock. Roman vs. Seth vs. Dean dominates the main event scene for a bit.

His full time run as a wrestler seems to be over. But yea, he shouldn't return for these one time shows that means nothing. Come back only for meaningful runs and feuds. Huge Jericho fan back in the day, but I don't get hyped at all for his returns anymore. However, I hope to see him do some kind of retirement angle, and end his career on a good note.

Nah, have Seth join the Shield and everyone is happy. Then after they beat the Wyatts, Seth can act it was all because of him then they go back to the way they were before lol

Jericho's been wrestling at the live events but not on tv for stretches. He was on the Brock Lesnar in Tokyo live event wwe network showed earlier this year.

Undertaker vs Lesnar in hell in the cell. Wonder what the plan is for Wrestlemania? Maybe Sting. I hope these old dudes can make it. Sting looked alright until he injured his back.

Concerning the NOC, here is my take...

Y2J showing up to do his "Job" made the most sense. If it wasn't going to be an A-list wrestler that could actually keep the fued going, then they needed someone from that group to take the fall. It was going to be Dean or Roman and Y2J is only a part time wrestler so it just made sense. This way they can keep the heat on the Wyatt/(Shield) group for alot longer. I think ultimately its going to be a Shield reunion.

Next, Im glad the Nikki Bella thing is over. Stephanie this is Day 1 of the 'real' Diva revolution. Lets see what you got.

Im glad Kevin Owen has a title. Now please dont screw him up being making him some mid card type champion. Dude is legit.

Cena is Cena and I just laugh at it now. It made sense for Rollins not to wear two belts but giving it back to Cena...again..is just no braincells used at all. I have no idea where it goes from there. Well actually my hope is that Lana gets back with Rusev and reclaims the US title.

And what exactly are they doing with Sting? So far, all the hype on his returns, only to lose to HHH and now lose to Rollins on consecutive Main Events he has been in. They are somehow making Sting to be irrelevant. Big mistake.

Return to New York Knicks
