Knicks trade Joakim Noah and Lance Thomas for Chandler Parsons. Would u do it? An even worse contract that Noah but can still play basketball. Get rid of Lance. Salaries are even. Just a lateral move to trade 2 useless players for 1.

I’ve been thinking the same thing but because Chandler’s contract is actually pricier than Jo’s, they should have to toss an asset our way. They throw in Jamychal Green or Deyonta Davis or Ivan Rabb, the likely candidate being Green because he’s the oldest and hasn’t exactly taken the opportunity of no Zach and ran with it. We could throw in Dot too. Parsons if healthy like Jo could be a help. Or Jo and an asset (Kyle?) for Meyers Leonard’s crappy Deal and Moe Harkless. I think we can find a deal for Noah but I agree that Chandler Parsons is about as fair a deal as we’d find for him.

hell no. He was awful when Magic tried to play him at SF. And you can't play him at PF here.

Plus hes been coming down to earth with his 3 ball lately. Shooting like 25% for the last 20 games..

And you have to pay him 20+ mil longterm..

Just bring Elfrid here for Willy and CHI 2nd if Magic don't want to pay him. Just force him to cut his hair.

I we can get him, great. Fits in nicely as a 3/D guy. If not, oh well...just another from the list of 3/D guys who I've wanted who become something in the league while we sit with our hands under our asses. Bullock, Miller, Prince, RoCo, etc.

Honestly, I'd try to swing a trade for Justin Anderson. Another guy I liked a lot at UVA and I think can become a nice 3/D guy. I proposed a trade a few days ago, but I forgot what it was? Lee, KOQ, and a pick (? first or a couple seconds) for Amir and Anderson is a win in my book.

I gotta feeling we're trading KOQ and Gomez and we'll end up with Kanter and Noah as our centers. It just makes sense for the simple reason that Kyle and Willy are the two most easily traded because of their contracts compared to Noah's and Kanter's.

Since this thread is about wishes at the trade deadline, I’m going to make this plain and simple....

Anyone not named Porzingis, Hernangomez, Ntilikina, Dotson, Burke needs to go for picks and expirings. I suppose I can keep one of Lee or THJR, preferably Lee since he’s cheaper and just as good imo. I also wouldn’t even bother trying to deal Noah, it’s only going to mean taking on multiple bad contracts and multiple crappy players or attaching an asset...just let his ass rot on the bench, the D league or wherever. This team needs a real rebuild and the sooner you do it, the sooner it will be done with. #EmbraceTheTank

NYK makes a run for the playoffs, starts building chemistry for next season. Frank can play off the ball next to Kemba. WHG gets time to develop. KP happy with talent infusion and getting easier shots by playing more minutes with pass-first guys like Batum + Frank. Batum mentors Frank on defense and professionalism.

They don't want Timmy or Noah. They're trying to dump salaries. Kanter would be moveable.

OKC people suggesting they would do the following trade:

Abrines, T-ferg, singler, and heustis

for

Lee, KOQ, and Beasley or Jack

I think that trade makes perfect sense for the knicks and OKC...keep all the contracts ending in the 2018-2019 season

probably could balnce out the roster and send abrines to a team that needs shooting or a 2nd round pick.

That's how I see willy. Vuc is his ceiling. Don't see him as learning defense. That's why I said send him to Portland for their first. It'll be 20s, but who knows

And my thing with Willy is.... There aren't many teams out there who function as a good defensive unit with a poor defensive big man getting major minutes. Really the only one I can think of is SA and they have elite coaching and LMA is good enough that he's passable on that end...That's why I have no hope for him. Having poor defensive big men strains you everywhere else. Like normally I think we could get away with playing KP at the 4 if our 5 was like a DAJ mobile type good defensive big... Instead we throw Kanter and Willy out there and KP feels the need to over help because of it and we hemorrhage open 3s as a result... You can live with bad perimeter defenders. You can't live with bad big men on that end IMO.

LMA is a flat out good defender. Always has been. Over the last 3 seasons he's the 2nd best rim defender in terms of raw numbers at his position (KP is #1).

Opposing bigs can't get within 3 feet of the rim with that nose of his

I just wanted to point out that since the trade rumors started Kemba and Batum have been on a tear. Basically out here proving their real value. Batum is averaging 17.3/5.5/4.9 on 61.4 TS% and Kemba is averaging 28.6/4.0/6.4 on 59.2 TS% and he hasn't had a single game under 20 points (this is a 2-3 week stretch too).

But Noah contract is so much better than Batums..

People were going mad on me when I said Noah and a 1st for Batum and Kemba wasn't a steal.

Well if someone will take Shumperts deal it’s not bad at all. That’s why I put that condition in there. I’ll take getting out of Kanters option and a 1st and cap space.

With or without Shumpert, the deal is bad. You're GIFTING a double-double Big Man to the Cavs for basically nothing. Not even attaching Noah, getting back picks or youth....NOTHING!

The Warriors deal is great for us, but the Warriors would NEVER part with Bell for KOQ.

Finally, the Spurs deal is also bad. To get a VERY late 1st, we rat Green's contract and get the disappointment that is Anderson.
