I just feel players develop poor mechanics w/ that type of hair. No funny shyt. Maybe im crazy for even saying that, but I just cant remember. Shump and Elfrid Payton come to mind w/ similar hair styles and they were trash hitting a 3.

Not even saying you need to have short hair to be a good 3pt shooter. But if you have type of haircut and try to shoot a 3, its gonna interfere w/ the proper shooting form.

I don't like the hair but it's not my biggest worry about Lonnie, my biggest worry is his jump shot. We need shooters on this team and shooters that will play D.

What's wrong with his shot?

His shot selection is trash, but his shot mechanics are great.

yeah, his finishing ability is more of a concern than his jump shot

I don't trust Kyler, but if Mavs go Carter, Bulls probably go Bamba, and Cavs probably go Porter which isn't ideal...unless you really want Mikal (IMO not sold on him being anything more than Ariza)

ugh having Carter and mpj taken before us would be a dream. if the Cavs go sexton even better.

I wouldn’t call Mikal being there at 9 as “landing in our laps”. It’d be more surprising if he wasn’t there.

I found this, I knew I wasnt tripping and read this a while back. Obviously some people will disagree w/ it, but I do think there is something to it. It wont apply to all NBA players since not all have the same release point. But I do think it could effect those who have a natural high release.

What was he doing that makes you question his IQ? I haven't watched any HS games of his, just highlight packages and clips but that doesn't show you those things.

Misses basic reads, almost never passes on the move, doesn't see a play develop if it doesn't result in him scoring. I'm not expecting him to be a PG, but there is a certain amount of awareness you'd like to see from someone who is styling himself as a 3. It's why I think his best position is probably a 4/5.

The question becomes is it a lack of awareness or does he just not care if he's not going to score?

I've essentially thrown out his Mizzou games in terms of evaluation, but it's not like those were encouraging from a mindset perspective either.

Considering KP is only occasionally aware of his off the ball options when he has the ball it would not help to have another starting big who is a poor passer. Any big additions in the front court now requires guys who make good reads and willingly hit the open man.

A prime Ariza next to Frank and KP would actually be potentially lethal on defense. Peak Ariza is not a bad thing IMO even if it is not what some want

Knox has a great skillset for the league along with very good measurables. He may never become a #1 type of player, but he could grow into that #2 or #3 role while being an adequate defender. (Maybe?)

Knox isnt completely dog **** at basketball. He does have some basketball skill to go along with his length/athleticism. At the very worse he can be a combo forward in the league who stretches the floor and can score some points.

But if he reaches his potential, he can be a very good well rounded player. I dont think he will reach his max potential, but nobody here can tell the future.

Floor- Tim Thomas, Charlie Villanueva(somebody just made this comparison and i kinda like it)
Potential- A more athletic Keith Van horn/Al Harrington/Danny Granger

But with his size/length/athleticism/shooting touch he has the tools to become an all star, people question his drive. I dont see a whole lot of dawg in him either. I dont think he will ever reach his max potential, but I also dont think he will be a lazy player and be a complete bust.

Not close, IMO. Van Horn had a 41" vertical and Tim Thomas was a great ball handler, passer, and all around player. His problem was he didn't give a crap about basketball. Van Horn was really very good (and athletic for 6'10) until he started getting dinged up. Know has a way to go before he even gets to Charlie V territory. Pretty sure there are lots of 6'9 + guys in the NBA that would look great working out like Knox did. I do not get any kind of intensity vibe from him.

Knox lacks presence. I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole

Would it hurt you if the Knicks traded 9 for Sixers 10 and one of their second round picks because they wanted Mikal?

Mikal with a 15% chance of being an allstar which is 2nd highest according to there rankings. They also like Zhaire Smith. I don’t put much stock in things like this, but those are 2 guys I like.

Besides Bagley at No. 1, Bridges is a fairly big call for the model at No. 5. It's only a handful of spots ahead of where many expect him to go, but this early, that makes a big difference. To wrap up the thought above, Bridges' 15 percent All-Star chance makes him second-most likely in the class, behind only Bagley, despite the fact that he quite possibly will be the oldest person selected in the lottery. This is all about his college production: at Villanova he was an efficient scorer with strong ball security and provided both steals and blocks en route to a strong overall defensive rating. From the model's standpoint, looking at his college play, what's not to like?

Take a look at their projection for Mitchell. OBVIOUSLY he was the clear pick at 8 last year because everyone knew he would be a stud...or not.

How does Carter Jr. and Bamba help the Knicks, if it forces Kristaps to defend on the perimeter where he struggles, due to his horrible lateral quickness?
