Kyrie or DSJ? Please tell me you all are joking.

I will refer to the point I made previously:

"no ones arguing Kyrie or DSJ. Obviously Kyrie is better. The argument is that the money used to get Kyrie can be spent on a different max player (like Kawhi, who arguably affects winning more than Kyrie), while keeping DSJ who has a lot of promise/upside"

Kawhi would be amazing but that isn't likely and we're debating based on who's likely to want to come to NYC

KD, AD and Kyrie are likely. Actually very likely

Yeah, I have my doubts about Kawhi since KD shaded him.
If Kyrie picks either LA/BKN/or stays with Boston, and we land Zion, I think the Knicks have the assets to pull off AD and Beal trades.

DSJ
Beal
KD
Mid-Level Exception (3-D; someone like Aminu, or Ariza maybe?)

here's what is gonna happen, guys are gonna stay where they are or team up somewhere new. and they aint gonna team up on the damn brooklyn nets. who don't even have enough cap space for durant and a 2nd max anyway. as it stands right now, nobody has that cap space except for the knicks.

Carlisle gonna get tired of him real quick.

Can’t believe we got rid of him.

I can speak for myself...If the organization has made up its mind on signing Durant
and Durant wants Kyrie then we have to do it...If it were up to me - I would just continue to build -sign no one and go after the greek freak when he becomes a free agent- I think we would be primed for a franchise free agent signing at that time...

Now I can get behind Greek. Because he’s mean and nasty. He’s not a flaky hop scotch looking for love in all the wrong places type. And I really don’t like that dude. At all. But that’s the guy you want on your team.

If Kyrie wants to stay with the Celtics or go to Brooklyn. Trade for AD so we have a max cat waiting for KD

If we only had spot for one max free agent this summer, I think a lot of us would've preferred building this team organically. KP, Knox, Mitch, Frank and the lotto pick this year and go from there. Now that the Knicks pivoted and created space for Durant and Irving, it's a nice package deal that's an easy sell. Durant, Kyrie, top lotto pick and the kids.

Now a lot of us don't want them to overspend on the likes of Harris and Middleton because it really won't move the needle at the end of the day, so it still comes down to whether or not the Knicks are smart with their new found flexibility.

We better not over spend on those lower level guys. And I don’t think we will. It’s just curious to me how things have changed. Kyrie is the same risk he was 30 days ago.

Zion is a dream. Unless I’m gm. Lol. But I’m seeing that be offered up in trade too. Opinions have changed. I’m just wondering why there’s not a consistency.

PS. I’m getting the number one pick.

the thing i hate about trading for ad is that just to make salaries match, we have to give up a lot of young talent. if we were to get zion, who i would rather just keep, you shouldn't have to give up much more. but you have to match his salary and the only salaries we have are all our young players on rookie deals.

I'm all in on Kyrie if he's our #2. Pair him with AD or KD. I know he's got injury concerns and has other issues on and off the court but the dude is an absolute killer/gamer/clutch guy who loves the big moment plus we need a guard to pair with our #1. He's the only elite backcourt FA. I wouldn't be nearly as hyped if we got two wings or AD/wing.
