his problem is that he can't shoot and isn't that good on defense. both of those things could be overlooked if he developed into a superstar offensive hub but that's a pretty big if and if he doesn't he's kind of just a 6th man. also dumb as bricks apparently.

he's probably capable of putting up 25 on the wizards or hornets while winning 25 games though

You have to be an intelligent player to be an offensive hub. Everything about this guy screams no though. Meanwhile, Bridges is a very good, smart and complete two-way player.

i wouldn't call bridges a complete two-way player lol, that's definitely overselling his skillset. bridges on paper is much better than bridges in reality though maybe we'll see better from a new coach

we'd definitely have to throw hart in there too if we're trading for kuminga. the kuminga & hart lineups would be atrocious

I think the guy played great basketball in his role.

he was a pretty poor 3-pt shooter and his defense overall was just alright. great is an overstatement imo

You say it like it is true, but it’s not. He was a better 3-pt shooter than Tatum and Brown, Herb Jones, McDaniels, Jimmy Butler, Amen and Ausar Thompson, Jalen Johnson, Jalen Suggs and just as good as Jalen Williams or Trey Murphy. I understand that this sounds hard to believe if you read this board too much, but most posters will always compare their guy’s best with our guy’s worst performances. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

It's a long summer and anything can happen but, I don't see the Knicks doing much of anything with the top 7 players. Kolek/Pac/Huk may be shuffled in some way but, I don't think they go anywhere either. Low budget FA and maybe whoever we draft tonight will be the moves. Building the SL roster. Westchester add ons. Camp invites. That's about all we will be discussing.

Bridges stays.

Probably don’t have the draft capital and he doesn’t fit the win now timeline but Cam Whitmore could be an interesting player

Knicks are trying to get to #31 so they can pick Fleming.

You realize there are cap and apron rules right? KAT makes 1mil less than Giannis. What are we doing with Hart salary in this trade? Mikal? We take Kuzma back?

We have ZERO FRPs to trade. Both teams are apron casualties. Milwaukee has no reason to tank without getting multiple FRPs. Giannis to Knicks would have to be Knicks or no one and he has three years left on his deal. Teams would take that risk.

I don't see how a Knicks trade makes any sense for Milwaukee.

SOl is obsessed with trading KAT lol

He was ready to trade him for Kessler

KAT for Lauri, Kessler and a pick. Why not?

KAT’s day will come. I don’t mind a modern coach showing us what he can do with this current roster first. Thibs wasn’t it.

"They don't have the necessary tools because they have gone all-in multiple, multiple times, so you have to give that organization a lot of credit," said Charania. "Will the loyalty factor—well, listen, if you're staying this offseason for Giannis Antetokounmpo, you're looking at yourself staying for the rest of your career. If you're going to withstand this, you're staying."

Giannis or JJJ only ones he'd possibly go for and even then I think Knicks are trying to trade other pieces over him....

both jayson tatum and jaylen brown have a different role on their team than mikal bridges, so when i said mikal bridges was a pretty poor 3-pt shooter, i meant for his specific role.

you also really can't compare the 3 point shooting of tatum and bridges straight up and get an accurate comparison. mikal bridges is mostly a catch and shoot 3-point shooter that will occasionally take a pull-up 3. on the season he shot 37% on catch and shoot attempts and 26% on pull-up 3's. jayson tatum takes a mix of pull-up 3's with the occasional catch and shoot 3. on the season he shot 40% on catch and shoot attempts and 33% on pull-up 3's. tatum in the bridges catch and shoot 3 role would be a much better shooter even though he shoots at a lower % overall.

https://www.nba.com/stats/player/1628369/shots-dash?SeasonType=Regular+Season

what herb jones, mcdaniels, the thompson twins, etc. have over mikal is elite defense. they really don't even have the same role as mikal because they're POA defenders that guard 1-4/5 on the court. i think the best comparison role-wise to mikal that you listed is trey murphy and yeah he wouldn't cost anyone 5 picks
