His Rubio/Rose trade was close. Reports had that Phil Jackson took too long and Twolves assistant coaches told Tom Thib to not do it. it came down the wire and all of a sudden was pulled back. He was right but I don't' think he foresaw that trade breaking down. You have to give him some credit for that. No one really reported that trade and it went down the wire.

It makes sense to talk to Portland because they are willing to take Ryan Anderson and we would probably take a bunch of smaller contracts and picks.

This dude. I hope it's at least talks. That shows that Houston is interested to deal. Without expecting a slob deal. I hate that no one else is talking about this. With some of the issues with timelines on being able to trade some if their players....this could drag on for weeks.

Personally I'd just buy him out at that point. A late first isn't worth taking on a really **** contract imo.
