i wanted simmons since last year. lot of potential.

What would the Knicks have to offer that would cause Portland to move on from a good young player?

I mean, besides players we'd rather keep like Quickley.

Meaning, is there some area of injury concern/depth they need help with, where the Knicks could offer up some "ok" vet like Bullocks or Burks or Noel , but then add the Detroit 2nd rounder?

don't know, they have a bunch of injuries and they're still winning. they're not really desperate.

don't know, they have a bunch of injuries and they're still winning. they're not really desperate.

The injuries are good. That's the scenario where maybe they see they can still make the playoffs with a fringe move like the one I'm hoping for, and then the Detroit 2nd rounder helps offset the loss of youth by giving them a shot at a decent guy in 2021.

he is but up to 41 percent on 3s this year. only 23 games but it's still a leap if he falls back a bit.

Wait but Channing Frye says KP is awesome.

It's obviously hard to do now but with Luka seeming slightly crazy or independent or different, and obviously great, the Knicks should target him. Bron took some paycuts and maybe Luka will follow somehow, some way.

I don't think he's an above-average starting center. Far from it.

His effort is inconsistent, he's inefficient, he doesn't have a high basketball IQ...

He just puts up numbers because his usage is ridiculously high for a player of his quality (or lack thereof).

yeah, he doesn't really help. teams seem to be falling for it though. he's sort of like a super-charged whiteside. the stats will fool you.

I feel like an old geezer but this shirt right here makes me think, even just for an angry moment, is why there should be an unweighted lottery for all non-playoff teams. Lose 70 games, fine, but you may be picking 16th still.

This and Drummond move doing the same is just offensive to me as a fan and I’d be pissed if this was a normal time and I was a season ticket holder.

Just holding guys out for over a month, I mean, it’s just wrong, man. At least to me. And for players to be cool with this, especially Griffin who isn’t in a walk year, is really wack. Drummond I get a little more so since Boogie Cousin has shown the downside injury in a walk year. But Griffin is in the middle of a 175mm deal or something and just the lack of loyalty from player to his teammates is just weird. There’s too much being fine being losers in the NBA right now. When it gets to the point of players feeling no desire to help their teammates win games, it just provokes a really negative reaction from me..

Yup, because it really is guaranteed that the pick is commensurate with the record and that the team actually hits on picks.

By this logic, Twolves should have about 3 rings because of how “right” their rebuilds have been.

Vastly prefer what the Knicks are doing this year than cavs or pistons and absolutely would be cash money that Knicks have a better come record than either of these teams over the next three years and more playoff series wins than either of those model squads.
