Adams for Mitch would be nice, but I don't expect HOU to rock the boat right now. Herb Jones for Mitch and sweeteners would be great too but looks like NOP will hold onto Herb for now. I'm sure there's some guy out there that we're not even thinking about that Leon and co. have on their radar...

Nick Richards is 5M. He matches up nicely for a package of 1 of Kolek or Dadiet , Sims and a pick or two.

not possible, plus what picks are you trading and that jazz would want.

sims and dadiet make like 3 mil, how are you proposing a trade for herb that makes 13 mil (plus roster backfill another 2 mil). 3 mil for 15 mil essentially. its not trade legal and especially not in knicks sitiuation.
plus again they will want much more than 2nds.

then clarkson, he makes less

i keep coming back to what is the sweetner for jazz to trade kessler or the pelicans to trade Jones
knicks have 10 seconds to trade thats it (that WAS 1st is 2 seconds essentially)

I think we still have the Det FRP which still has decent value. Also 1 of Kolek or Dadiet may carry decent first round vslue for some teams thst had strong grades on them.

Richards doesnt change anything.

mcbride is untouchable.

kolek or pacome are available.

Kessler or nothing.

That seems like a possibility as well once the Hornets throw in the towel (which should be in the next month or two)

We have:

WAS protected 1st
~10 second rounders
Kolek
Dadiet
Huk
McCullar
Future 1st Pick swap
Rights to Rokas
Cash Considerations

...as our tradable "sweeteners". Leon and co. are no doubt on the prowl...

The last time I checked Hornet's fans seemed to think Richards was a low IQ defender that chased blocks.

Sweeteners but not on Kessler, Jones level trade.

And it's washington 1st which is valued at 2 seconds, 8 seconds ( some of which are fake seconds, protected seconds, lower end of swaps etc etc)

I think we could get Kessler done but at minimum we have plenty to get Nick Richards done

The best move is probably signing Ben Simmons if he gets bought out.

Can play 20 minutes
Primary ballhandler with 2nd unit
Elite defender from 1-5

We can't sign him if he's bought out since we're a first apron team and he makes more than $12.9 million

Watching him play Sixers right now.

Could Thibs and Mark Bryant work with his shotblocking?

I was wondering the same thing. Hornets fans seemed to love him until they saw more of him when Williams went down last year. Many of them were complaining about him being out of position defensively too often. I don't see enough of him to have a strong opinion. I do remember he was one of the league leaders in goaltends at some point with 20% of his block attempts being goaltends.

I kind of feel like we could get similar results from Hukporti since he basically jumps at everything too but i'm not sure how much of a good or a bad thing that is yet. At this point I just want extra bodies that Thibs might actually play and i'm open to breaking up Mitch's contract into more depth but Mitch might need to show a pulse first to have some trade value.
