I'm on the edge of my seat hitting refresh hoping SOMETHING will happen. This isn't healthy.

If Philly is willingly taking on salary in exchange for a middle of the road prospect why wouldn't Chicago be calling them with a Boozer/Butler/Snell package? Chicago could even add in one of their picks. Philly could possibly get back a better prospect who doesn't have the injury history, a pick sooner then any we could give, and take on less money all for helping the Bulls get more cap room for Melo. Wouldn't that be a better more likely deal then taking on Stat?

Excellent. And bringing Lebron into their division.

Maybe... and if LeBron was coming they would.

Obviously they would give up the farm if it meant Melo and Lebron. But I still don't see it being that easy to move Stat and/or Bargs.

Do we know Philly turned down that package?

And the farm includes multiple unconditional first round picks. BTW, the amount between the floor and the cap is a little over 6 million. We include 3 million in cash considerations and that is 3 million out of Philly owners pockets to add multiple young players and first round picks.

doesn't look good guys, in other words, whether Melo comes to Ny depends on whether we can clear capspace to get Lebron.

I guess Melo is gone :-? Though I don't really care much.

If we can't gwt LeBron now, I think Melo signs for the Capn' O max and we maybe have a chance at LeBron next year. Or at the very least, we nab Pau and go after plan B if LeBron goes elsewhere or stays in Miami.

Either way, I don't think Melo is leaving at all. I think he's just stalling to see if Phil can pull it off. And if he can clear the space, Melo will then sign for even less to make room for LBJ and have them both making around the same money.

No need for him to have signed or committed to anything yet. I'm sure Melo knows he has to keep this under wraps until it's official.

This is pretty much what i have been saying for a while now. Melo is just accommodating Phil to give him some much needed time to see if he can pull off trades that will be tough trades to pull off so he can get Melo the big name/names he wants. If Phil can't make the big trades which are obviously ridding us of Amare and Bargs contracts, then i'm sure there is another plan like maybe just trading Bargs and going for Pau Gasol or whatever else Phil has in mind, but i think Melo is with Phil on this and that he'll be a Knick next year no matter what Phil gets done this year and if it's nothing then we regroup in 2015 and build a contending team at that time........At least this is what i'm hoping for..........fingers crossed.

Into their conference? He is already here!

Their division? Does it really matter? Especially considering they are at least two years away from the playoffs.

I read the NY Post article. Seems consistent with what we thought earlier -- Melo waiting for Phil to get Bron.

Okay.
