His shot was definitely off even when he had good looks and the same overall shooting form. The last few games there have been at least a dozen shots that were just missing that were previously automatic. I do think that was at least partly elbow related. Without that issue, his conversions would have him scoring 25 points even while playing relatively poorly.

He was getting overplayed on defense, which has always worked. Then Toronto overplayed him AND was physical (look for every team to do this from now on out - started with Cleveland). So, he'd probably have had a "Utah or Cleveland" level game, but then KP was extremely lethargic, not challenging on D, standing around some of offense, letting himself get pushed out for 3 point line post ups etc.

I'm pretty sure the no name guy guarding him isn't some hidden all planet defender so there is some explanation behind KP's lethargy. Feel free to chose amongst the offerings of "Mini slump", "Hit a Wall from Eurobasket", "Injury", "Anemia", "Injury + Anemia", "Injury, + Anemia + Eurobasket wall" and so on.

Actually Siakam is a great defender, I don't remember who he shut down this year, but it was another player who started out the season extra hot. The kid can D up.

I didn't see anything wrong with his movement or mechanics last night. He simply had two-three in & out shots that usually go in. Got to the line, was active on defense, played Blake great. Still not worried.

Last year, when general fatigue caught up with KP, he became an inconsistent shooter and especially bad, for him, from 3 point land.

This really seems like the same thing. He's still playing well, just not sure I'd call it dominant, the last 4 or so games.

He fouled out Blake. Mission accomplished. Also I was worried that Refs would start blowing some of the contact KP had with Blake, who himself, was whacked all over during the game.

I still would like to see KP create more for others. Last night he could've passed the ball on some occasions.

Sometimes. He thinks he is me lo

Stop with the 1 on 1 Isos

It's killing his field goal percentage

Giannis slumping too. Y'all can calm down. Though his shots aren't KP is making the extra pass making his teammates better. He's also a terror protecting the paint. Realize teams only shoot jumpers against us.

Head and Shoulders above the crowd. Literally

It just goes to show how impactful his presence is now even when the shots are not falling

Also according to that chart, Enes Kanter has a better rim protecting percentage than most bigmen in the league

Look at poor Myles Turner, dude is defending over 7 field goals at the rim per game and still holding it down

Towns is near 55% and this is why people have turned on him.

Interesting. I missed that. Enes is better than the majority of the NBA's rim defenders. Imagine if he can get it down another 10 points on the FG%, our front line defense would be dominant.
