Jets suck again. Can't play a completely sh*t team like the Patriots every week, I guess

UGLY set of downs by the offense. With Rodgers's legs gone and the line playing terribly, how do you not get him to throw sooner? And the receivers need to have an eye on the pocket with those two things happening.

Hmm. Guess Aaron Rogers wasn't immunized against s*cking.

I didn't see this game. Weren't we in FG range at the end?

Didn't see it either. From ESPN Rogers was sacked on 4th down from his 45 back to the 35 and Denver took over.
Maybe we can get Zack Wilson in a trade???

Going to be interesting when we're 2-5 to see if Saleh, Douglas and Hackett last the whole season.

This was an ugly loss. Rodgers didn't look the same as last week. Maybe it was the Pats defense being like Swiss cheese or maybe he's 40 going on 55 and he's going to have days like this. The defense was fine. This felt like a winnable game that they didn't execute and I'm guessing Rodgers feels that way too.
2-4 looks likely. Maybe they can beat Pittsburg. 2-5 is a tough start to the season. If they can win 1 of t he next 3, I'll probably still hold out some hope for playoffs. 2-5 isn't impossible to come back from, but it's not good.
Go Knicks!! Go Mets!!
As for the Jets . . . just keep it entertaining.

Yes.
Following the discussion above, the sack and the FG attempt were different possessions.
Rodgers got sacked on 4th down, Jets give up the Ball to Denver at their 49. like 2 minutes and change left but Jets have 3 time outs. Denver fails (I don't think they tried a FG this attempt, I think they punted), but Jets get the ball back, like 1 1/2 minutes left because Denver barely ran any time off the clock.
A couple plays work, they get it to the 30 something, then 2 missed calls, receiver didn't seem to go where Rodgers threw the ball and Rodgers slapped his helmet on one of those plays, so after those 2 misses, it's 4th down, Jets try a 50 Yard FG and it misses.
If Denver had made their 48 yard FG 5 minutes earlier then the jets would have had to go for a first down on 4th and whatever it was, but they didn't, so Jets only needed a FG.
Ball changed hands like 4 times in the final 4 minutes.
Missed FG - Denver
Sack on 4th down - Jets
Failure to run any time off the clock, punt - Denver
Pushed it up a few yards, got in FG ranged but missed FG - Jets
Denver runs out the clock.
Rogers was better than Nix, but he wasn't good today. Looked a little shaken after a sack a few minutes earlier. Landed on his knee and played the last few downs limping a little.
Had the Jets made the FG, they probably win the game. Like 45 seconds left.
Very winnable game, but neither team played well on offence. Kind of a coin flip on who played better.
Go Knicks!! Go Mets!!

The offense is horrible because Hackett is the worst offensive coordinator in the entire league.
Saleh sucks in general. His teams are always poorly disciplined and take tons of penalties.
And now, either Hall and/or Wilson has regressed, and that's either poor coaching by Saleh or poor offense by Hackett, take your pick.
Basically, Jets should fire both Saleh and Hacket ASAP, but they won't, because the organization sucks from the owner on down, so they'll go 7-9 and get some sh*tty draft pick.

I'll give the team this one game and say it was the conditions. Broncos offense wasn't amazing either (not that they ever are), but the Jets defense helped extend some drives that should've been stopped earlier. It was very much like that game against the Giants last season.

1-3 after next week’s game against the Viking. We’re not beating them.

I will never watch this team again if they miss the playoffs this year. I won't make it through the season if they start 2-5 either.

I loved that series. The writing and acting was so good. What happened to it? COVID?

Re: The Official NY Jets Thread.
OMG, after we play the undefeated Vikings next week, we play the Division leading Bills (3-1), then we get to play the presently Division leading 3-1 Steelers.
After that, the schedule lightens up from what I can see. Again, I really haven’t been following the NFL that closely so maybe someone else has a different opinion

Fire Saleh, Promote Ulbrich, ask Rodgers if he really wants to try and carry Hackett through this season...hopefully fire Hackett too.
I've never seen a team consistently look worse on long rest than when they play on regular rest. But this is year three with the same patterns as every year prior regardless of personnel.

Probably either just ran out of ideas to keep it going or they got bored or tempted to do other things for more money. But I'm still early in season one so don't ruin it for me.

They're becoming the Chicago Cubs of the NFL.
